Congratulations and best wishes to Sherrita Sims and Darrell Hawkins, Jr. and to their respective families: Booker and Stephanie Sims; and Jerilyn Ward Evans and Darrell Hawkins.
The happy couple: A Speech Language Pathologist and a Transportation Security Admisistration Officer from Inwood and Bayside, got engaged on December 7, 2009 in Fort Totten.
'Darrell and I were sitting in the car overlooking the water at Fort Totten When he told me how much I meant to him and how he could not see his life without me. Then he asked me to get out the car to take a walk with him. As I got out of th car, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was elated and I said 'Yes.'
They look forward to an August 19, 2011 at Douglaston Manor.
We wish them much continued love, health, and happiness.
