Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to welcome Ms. Lisa Marie Corva and Mr. Alan Lanham to our online family and to extend our congratulations to their respective families: Dr. Gerald L. Corva and Mrs. Mary Patricia Corva; and Mr. and Mrs. Warren A. and Elaine D. Lanham. The two: A Capital Markets Paralegal and Law Student and a Personal Chef and Full Time Student from Garden City and Staten Island respectively were engaged in their home on October 26, 2007. 'Friday, October 26, 2007, was a rainy, windy day. We needed to travel to Staten Island that night for Alan's sister's confirmation. Alan asked me if I could start packing because he had other things to do. Although I was wondering what he could POSSIBLY have to do that didn't include packing, I went into the bedroom and started. I saw him walking around the living room and rifling through the coat closet while I packed. Curious as to what he was doing, I walked outside and asked what was going on. Frazzled, he immediately replied 'Nothing!' and insisted that I return to the room and continue packing. Thinking something was wrong, I walked back into the room to finish. Moments later, Alan walked into the bedroom towards me, where the we were standing in our PJs and sweatshirts, with a ring. To this day, I can't even remember whether or not the question was asked because I was screaming so loud!' The look forward to aceremony at St. Joseph's Church on Friday June 11, 2020 and an celebration immediately following at Chatea Briand. We wish them all the best.
