Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to announce the engagement of Marisa Gomez and Michael Cali and to extend our congratulations to their friends and family all over. The happy Bronx couple were engaged on December 5, 2009 in Central Park. Moments after a short snowfall and dinner with Mike's family to commemorate his mother's birthday, Mike and Marisa traveled across town to the St. Mark's Place area of Manhattan. With Mike continuing to check the weather from his blackberry, Marisa snapped photos of her fiance and the ice cold Sam Adams lagers that were on the table. Mike was waiting for some serious snowfall to pop the question. Marisa was wondering why he was so concerned about the weather, little did she know though. If you didn't know already, Marisa is enthralled with photography and almost forgot her point-and-shoot camera at home that day. After a few rounds, they decided to head towards Rockerfeller Center. At this point, none of the snow flurries were sticking so it was pretty much a snow and rain mix. This wasn't the plan that Michael originally thought but, he was going with the flow. It was almost 15 degrees out at that time and Marisa was ready to go home. Mike insisted that they walk into Central Park. Marisa took a few photos of the city lights reflecting on the Central Park Pond. They each took our turn in front of this great site. With freezing fingers and ears, Mike said 'I have a surprise for you.' It happened in a flash that she didn't have time to think. After closing her eyes for a few seconds, Marisa opened her eyes to see Mike down on one knee. She immediately burst into tears and they can't remember if Marisa actually said 'Yes' right away. She did eventually say YES!! They look forward to an October 14, 2011 celebration. We wish them all the very best.
