Long Island Engagement Announcements

On Boxing Day 2010, as the blizzard was coming in, we packed up Kellie's car and Tommy, myself, Kellie and Steve embarked on a dangerous but rewarding road trip down to Orlando, Fl! We finally made it, and we had a grand ole time romping around the parks and swimming in the pools on 40 degree nights at the All Star Movie Resort and going to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue! Yahoo! Then we upgraded and moved to Disney's Boardwalk Resort! Even though the room was nicer and the beds were more comfy, Tommy had a hard time sleeping that night. But we were up and at 'em and headed over to Magic Kingdom. We spent the morning collecting fast passes and then Tommy and I had our one meal together without the gang at the Liberty Tree Tavern. It was nice to grab a quiet moment alone, even though Tommy's tummy was bothering him. Hmmm...I wonder why! :) Then we met up with the whole crew behind the castle at Sir Mickey's and decided we should head over to Space Mountain! We took the path along the side of the castle, and as we walked the Castle Stage show started and Kellie insisted we stop by the Wishing Well to watch it and asked me to take out my camera. I turned around and asked for a penny to make a wish, and Tommy was right there ready for me. He asked me to close my eyes and think about all the key moments in our relationship, then asked me to wish for something I really really wanted. After I threw the coin in, I opened my eyes and he was on one knee and proposed! I start crying and shaking but I managed to say 'Yes!' We hugged and kissed and the crowd cheered and Kellie was there ready with our 'Just Engaged' buttons to wear around the park that day! It was such a magical moment and the rest of the day was just splendid. We didn't get to call everyone we wanted to because our phones died! But we did enjoy a celebratory dinner at Tony's and two fireworks shows that night. It was amazing and we will never forget it! Congratulations, welcome and best wishes to Jennie to Tommy. The happy couple, engaged on December 30, 2010 look forward to an April 13, 2012 celebration of love. We wish them many years of continued happiness.
