Julia & Mike

A warm welcome and congratulations to Julia and Mike, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Geralyn and Robert; and Lois. Julia, a graphic designer from Ridgewood, and Mike, a logistic salesman from Centerport, were engaged on May 5, 2012 at the American Museum of Natural History.
'Our first date was supposed to be at the Natural history Museum, but due to a snow storm we weren't able to go that day. 18 months later I learned that there was an exhibit there I wanted to see. He suggested that we went on Cinco De Mayo and after the museum we'd go to MexFest down at South Street Seaport. We spent a few hours walking around the museum, and at the end he took me into the Gem area where he got down on his knee and asked for my hand in marriage. Best day of my life yet!'
The happy couple is looking forward to their July 20, 2013 Long Island wedding!
