1 thing you wish you did, but didn't on wedding Day.
What is something you wish you would have done on your wedding day, but didn't? Something you would have done differently?

I wish I could have danced with my grandpa but he has cancer and almost couldn't walk me down the isle. H e is very near the end
But on the bright side at least he was there so I dedicated his fav song 'Thats A'More'

Compared to the previous response, mine is sooo trivial. But, for the entire engagement period, I looked forward to taking pics on the beach. Unfortunately, on my wedding day, I got distracted and brushed the idea off - I have NO IDEA why. I think I got too excited when guests started arriving for cocktails.

I wish I ate more...my dress was a bit tight...and I couldn't sit and eat...could only eat standing up...

I wish I had worn the neclace my aunt offered me. It was a diamond solitare and the diamond was my great grandmother's engagement ring. I decided not to wear it b/c i felt the top of my gown was already so sparkly and i didn't want overkill. Now that I'm looking at pictures, i think it would have looked great!!

Hmmm, I wish I hadn't forgotten my bag in the hotel. My sister made it for me and it matched my dress perfectly. Everything else was perfect

I wish it hadn't been raining so I could have done the pictures at the beach we planned and I wish I had written down the list of pictures I wanted. I totally forgot to get a picture with my godparents and a picture with my aunt and uncle (not really - but are may parents best friends) who did so much for me.

I wish I made my RB's mother come with us to take pictures at the Gardens. He stepped on my dress and got muddy footprints in two spots (which had to be remove by a dry cleaner 15 min. before the ceremony!). She debated coming but thought he wouldn't act up as much without her around.

I know I couldn't change it but I wish it wasn't raining either...still bugs me to this day that I didn't have my fall wedding-like day
and that I didn't do a video, regret that big time.

I also wish I took some pics with my flower girls only. I had 4 and 1 mini bride, would've made for a cute pic. But they were being so bad that day, I didn't want to be bothered with them

I wish I'd eaten more. I heard the food was fantastic but I didn't eat much!! I wish I'd gone from table to table WITH my husband, we split up at one point and had a hard time getting back together. For reference, some things I'm glad I did: spent a LOT of time dancing, spoke to each and every person there (but we only had 90 people), spent the weekend at the hotel rather than just the night after, did my own makeup, hired a day-of coordinator.

Re: 1 thing you wish you did, but didn't on wedding Day.
Another bride w/ rain here!It started just as the reception started, so we only have outdoor shots at the church and a few at the Carlyle. If I would've known, we would've taken more 'alone' outside shots at the church. Also, I wish I took inside shots w/ my mom before the church instead of all outside. We are squinting in some of the pictures.
Other than the uncontrollables, I wouldn't change a thing!

I wished I had touched up my makeup throughout the night and that I had kept my gloves on for some pictures after the ceremony.

Trivial- but I wish I would've taken more pics in the church after ceremony and on the waterview decks @ the hall. Also, chosen a different photog. altogether. I also wish I wouldve eaten more! Wish I wouldve blotted my face- i was a tad oily by the end. But - I'm glad I danced the night away!

Re: 1 thing you wish you did, but didn't on wedding Day.
I am with Claud and Julybaby.I wish I had taken pics on the golf course in the golf cart as we had originally planned. It was so unbearably hot that by the time we finished with us, family and BP - we just wanted to be in the AC! I love my proofs, but wish we had gone back out and braved the weather to get those pictures.
I also ate next to nothing at the Cocktail Hour and everyone raved about the food. As I was being dragged away from the food towards the big entrance I was pitifully lamenting my failure to eat anything. Someone brought me a plate full of mini crab cakes to the bridal suite. I inhaled them and they were awesome, but I am sad that I missed the food that I picked for ME!

Re: 1 thing you wish you did, but didn't on wedding Day.
Becky- i didn't eat anything but a celery stick at the cocktail hour so I understand
I wish I had gone with my gut instinct and hired a private baker to do my cake. I was not getting along with the coordinator at the reception site and even though I handed her a color photo of the exact, and not difficult cake I wanted she made a comment about trying to get it 'close to this design'. well my husband didn't want us to spend the extra money on a cake and I knew it would taste good (since I had tasted their cakes before) so I just didn't fight over it. well I hate every photo with my cake in it and i hated even looking at the cake the entire time at the reception. it was nothing like I wanted. Perhaps it is trivial but it is something i wish i could change.

Re: 1 thing you wish you did, but didn't on wedding Day.
well, I have actually three things:1.- to have asked my brother to pick up the coins we exchanged during the ceremony after it was over ... they dissapear
2.- to have asked about the way the fish was going to be cooked before hand, it was pouched, and we are not crazy about that ... the rest of the food was amazing.
3.- to have taken separate pictures with some people ... I just didn't think of it
