For those who paid for the wedding & honeymoon expenses, do you still have bills to pay off?

We both were very much in our 'lives' we both come from lower middle class familes. Neither of us have great jobs and both of us dont have roots here in NY or extended family that could help with the wedding.
So yes
I am still paying for my wedding.
We had to take a loan out at the end. It was the best I could do.
Not all of us are so fortunate.
But it was worth it.
we are still paying it off too - not everyone is as fortunate as to be able to pay things off ahead of time - there isnt anything wrong with having to pay it off over time

I agree! Believe me if we didn't have a year and half engagement, we would still be paying off stuff too. I agree that we were really fortunate to both be employeed and able to pay upfront for our wedding.

our honeymoon went on a credit card. We paid a lot of it off, but just converted the rest to an interest free account.
But, as for the wedding, that was paid off in full ahead of time. (just BARELY)

It's a bummer, to still have bills, but we had the wedding that we wanted. It was worth it, but sometimes it's frustrating and I try to think of the best ways to pay it all off. What was that no intrest account about? Please send me info.

it was a different credit card through citicards. Interest free on balance transfers for 1 year

No wedding debt. We paid everything up front, except for a small portion of the honeymoon, which we paid off as soon as we got back from it.

Everything is paid off. If I would have succumbed to some of the extras I wanted toward the end, then we may have been paying it off much longer.

No, we paid everything in cash

No, we were able to pay for most of our wedding in cash. We charged the HM, which was paid off soon after.

No, we saved for 18 months. Everything was put on credit cards to get bonus points and the bills were all paid in full once they arrived. After paying everything off, we actually had money in the account BEFORE the wedding (in addition to the money earmarked for the HM).
Wouldn't have done it any other way.

We were the same. We had money left over just from what we saved for the wedding. I sacrificed a lot of extras I wanted because I wouldn't even entertain the thought of taking out a loan or paying for things on credit.

No. BUT, we are older and more established in our jobs, and we cut out a lot of things to save money.
