oh wow. That was dumb of him! It was a sweet idea but you'd think he'd be a little more careful with a 12K ring DUH. He should have done it indoors so it coudln't fly away. There's no chance he's getting it back!

I just read that and OMG how dumb can you be. I hope he learned his lesson and I also read the fiancee was livid at him for doing that and won't talk to him until he gets another ring. I have no words for that.

yes, he was dumb, and i feel bad for him, but what about the GF saying he better get a new ring??? a proposal is way more than just a ring. sounds like it was fate, making the ring fly away, JMO.
