1st Ann

Original post by Mrs. Bernabe

Ladies,

What are you planning to get DH for your Ann?

I am going to do a boudoir photo shoot so that will be one girft, but I was thinking about getting him an African Congo bird, or a gold bracelet, but am not sure. I really don’t want to spend more than 1k and the shoot alone is $400, but the bird is $1,000 on its own. Has anyone gone shopping for jewelry?

If so how much is the gram? Have you bought your DH any jewelry if so what and how much? If you don’t feel comfortable can you please FM.

TIA

I would love to be able to afford to send DH down to Spring training for a few days next year. Maybe If I can afford the $3k price tag, I will do it. Other than that he gets nothing but me lol

You can use a lot of creativity in figuring out which traditional paper gift to give your spouse on your first anniversary. In Jewish marriages, the gift of a framed ketubah is appropriate.

Here are a few basic suggestions to get your own creative juices going. Send us your ideas for 1st wedding anniversary gifts.

1. Photographs and Picture Frames

2. Books
When purchasing a book, think about your spouse's passions, interests, and hobbies. If you can't write a love poem yourself, get a book of poetry for your lover.

3. Board Games and Puzzles
This gift would be a promise to spend an evening together working on a jigsaw puzzle or playing a classic board game like Scrabble.

4. Stationery
This could include pretty or practical writing paper, personalized business cards, colorful postcards, note cards, and envelopes.

5. Tickets
Purchase a couple tickets and take your spouse to his/her favorite sports event, movie, or theatrical production. Other tickets could include airline, ferry, train, bus, or balloon rides.

6. Paintings
Everyone loves artwork that touches our heart and soul and brings beauty to our life.

7. Coupons
Write out a coupon for a massage or for a dinner out or for a walk in the rain. Think in terms of gifts of your talents, gifts of your time, and promises you have made.

9. Posters and Art Prints

10. Calendars
You could get an electronic one, or a pictorial calendar, or a diary, or a journal style, or an appointment book. Mark all the days that are important to the two of you, and add in a few new ones as a surprise.

Just so you know the BEST time to go is when they practice everyday (not when they have games). Its free to get in and you can stay the entire time. You get very close to them and lots of autographs..
If he's like me & DH you can also stalk them as they leave the ballpark and follow them into stores and take pics in the parking lot....
Why is it $3K???

I dont know of hotels in that area, can only help with Tampa

oh I spoke to a woman once randomly in a store, that said she is sending her husband down to spring training for a special package where you can go meet the guys, train with them for a bit and it was about $3k. There were other packages, but that was the cheapest. I think you even get to go to dinner with them lol

DH said he wouldn't like that but he would want to go down to spring training anyway. I think maybe next year we will go.

We saw Brian Schneider for the Mets down in the Bahamas when we were on our HM. DH was like 'don't say anything, but there he is' and I said 'why don't you ask him for a picture or something' he said 'I don't wanna bother him' lol so I guess we couldn't stalk them :(
