1st birthday

Yesterday was DH's birthday and this is our first birthday celebration as husband and wife.

I took him to Bar Americain - that's Iron Chef's Bobby Flay's restaurant (he was at the bar last night) - I DEFINITELY recommend this place! The food is delicious! It was strange to tell the waiter that it's my 'husband's' birthday. Just saying that word is still so weird to me.

Then I took him to see Mama Mia - it was really entertaining (if you're into ABBA songs)

The problem was what to get him as a present. He shops for his own clothes and has all the jewelry he can wear. I'm not familiar with gadgets, so I wouldn't even know what he'd need. He asked for a new computer, but that's so impersonal.

Let's see - even though he buys his clothes himself - you can get him something he wouldn't normally get for himself. Last year I got DH a $1,000 winter coat from DKNY that he wouldn't buy for himself b/c of the high price tag.

Gadgets are always a winner...depending on what they are of course. Go on the sharperimage and brookstone website and see what you can find. Does he need a navigation system?
