1st year anniv. gift ideas... PLEASE
My first annniv. is coming up in 2 weeks and I am having a hard time trying to think of a good gift for my DH. I want something he can keep forever since it is our first anniv. and I am sentimental. I would think of jewlery- watch etc. but my FIL is a jewler and my DH has everything he could possibly want and if he doesn't, he can just get it for practically nothing! So, jewlery's out. Any other suggestions?thanks !

Is his wedding band engraved? Maybe you can have something engraved in it.

good idea, but how do I get it off of him without ruining the surprise???? Or should I just tell him about it? He never takes it off!

Can you tell it you are going to get them cleaned?Or maybe that you want to show someone at work because they want the same type?

Re: 1st year anniv. gift ideas... PLEASE
again, great ideas sue, but we work in the same elementary school, and he takes care of cleaning my and his rings. He usually drops by his father's store ever 2 weeks or so and cleans them himself. I think I will have to pry it off his finger while he sleeps LOL!
My only hope is that his hocky season will start soon and I know he always takes his ring off before the game and leaves it in his car. He usually remembers to put it back on before he comes home, but sometimes he forgets and doesn't wear it until the next morning. I can try my luck and steal it out of his car, but that is unlikely. I really do love the engraving ides. I even though of something to engrave in it. I'll keep plotting to get that ring!!!!!!

Why not get his father in on it? And you can ask him to drop off yours and get it cleaned and then his dad will tell him to leave his as well & he'll clean it really nice and drop it off later?

1st anniv. gift is traditionally paper- you can get him a tickets to something or a gift certificate. What about a jersey to his favorite sport's team?

Re: 1st year anniv. gift ideas... PLEASE
thanks michelle! All these ideas are great. I'm still looking and considering. I love the engraving and the jersey idea. I'm hoping htat since my DH is playing hocky tonight (and he takes off his ring to do so, but leaves it in his car) I can somehow swipe it. Who knows. Anyway, any othe ideas will be great ust in case I can't pull off the ones mentioned here. Thanks for all your suggestions!Lora
