2 people stiffed us! How do I approach this?

We didn't get an envelope from 2 people that DH works with. Do I even say anything or let it go?

yeah, well there's about 10 people that stiffed us....I don't know how to approach it either. DH and I joked that we might write them a thank you card saying,

Thank you for your presents (and then cross out the presents) and put presence....

We had the same situation and haven't come up with anything...other than the subtle variances in the 'Thank You' note; 'thank you for coming to our wedding' vs. 'thank you for coming and your generous gift'. But if the goobers didn't even take the time to get you a card, I doubt they will notice your wording.

still waiting for one from my brother in law. Yes, my DH's brother.

Oh, and he's not hurting for money in the least!

Just go on with your life. You really can't say a word.

We had one stiffer and we didn't say anything, but we didn't send a thank you card, either.

I would let it go.... We had about 10 couples that didn't even give us a card. Technically people have 1 year.

We had two people stiff us - one of which was a bridesmaid!!!! There's nothing you can do about it- just remember that when their time comes, that's all. OUr thank you card read 'Thank you for sharing our special day with us'.

People are 'f'd up'!!!!

they might get you something off the registry, 2 people at out wedding did not give an envelop and later sent a gift to the house

I think you have no choice but to let it go, what can you do?

We thought a few people stiffed us but when we got home from the HM, we had soem gifts waiting for us. It turns out we only got stiffed from one person who remembered and then forgot again. Oh well. He got a 'thank you for sharing our special day' thank you card because it was the right thing to do.

THere was probably close to 15 people that stiffed us and others that gave 25, 30, 50 for 2 or more people.
I didnt do anything about it. There isnt much that you can do.

Technically, people have a year to send you a gift. We received a gift just last week and we've been married for nearly six months.
But really, there's nothing you can do.
For people who made the trip to our wedding (from the west coast) who didn't give a gift, we're sending a thank you because it was expensive for them to be with us. Co-workers who stiffed - I didn't send a thank you.

Mmm, I like that one. Wish I had thought it last year when I needed it! Honestly, there are always going to be cheap-skate bastards out there who come to parties and give nothing. I wish I had skipped the Ty cards for these people because it infuriated me to have to write small-talk bullsh*t in the card. Btw, these low-lives will be the first ones to hint for gifts for themselves and put $500 + gifts only on their registries. LOSERS!

Well, we had two people stiff us. My SIL and her husband. BUT they were in the wedding party AND they just had bought a new house, had a baby and traveled to come to the wedding, so we really can't complain.

The other sort of falls into the same category, my DH's best friend traveled from Richmond and stayed in the hotel and didn't give us a gift, but....can I complain?

When it comes down to it, I'd rather have these people at our wedding and NOT give a gift then them not show up at all.

Luckily we werent stiffed but If we were I would be worried that the cards were either lost or stolen.

I wouldnt hesitate to contact them and explain that you were concerned that something happened.

We had people right off the bat tell us they will get us something and that was it - they never did - they are our friends, so I'm just letting it go... I did tell them to come no matter what...

My MIL's friend came up to us at the reception and stated 'I got you guys the wrong card, it was accidentally an anniversary card. So, I'll get another card and send it to you when I get home.' Who knew it would take her over 3 months to get home? We wish she just didn't say anything.

MIL is pissed at her, to say the least.

I won't contact the 10+ people that didn't give us a gift...I think that is really awkward to call them out on it.
