2 stupid comments...2 days in a row!

A VERY STUPID co-worker who was at my wedding, and is in an interfaith relationship, just commented to me on our ceremony.

She has been dating this guy for 3 years...all the while fully aware of the fact that she will never marry him because she can't get over the religious differences. Although he is ready to marry her and has no issues with anything. So they come to my wedding, a beautiful interfaith service, where both sides were represented fairly...with no shoveling anything under rugs. The name Jesus was spoken, Moses was spoken...a Gospel was said and responded to, Jewish and Catholic traditions upheld.

Anywho I asked her how she and her BF handled it together (meaning does she think they could do it) and she says 'I don't know how you let them say Jesus there, that was so disrespectful of everyone and I was insulted for the jews there, didn't you feel insulted?'.

OY VEY I've had enough of this crap already!

this GIRL is SOOO wrawpped up in her own world that she is lashing out at someone who is HAPPY with her decision...

Im part of an interfaith couple as well....in some ways I think we juggle more/ make more CONSCIOUS decisions about religion and people's feelings than single faith marriages. I have plenty of friends that are easter/christmas catholics. I dont judget them harshly, its just their way. Plenty of 'RELIGIOUS' people who treat others very poorly.

Look at it this way, you answered her and now you know to take her off your list of friends. What an idoit!
Jesus was JEWISH dummy...and evewry Jew I speak to have told me they consider him a GREAT RABBI...just not the Saviour!

That is out of control! If she really loved him I do not think this would be an issue. My one friend had a nuetral wedding-she is catholic, he is jewish. My cousin changed her religion and had a beautiful wedding.

I've been telling her for 2 years that she doesn't love him....because if she did she'd have more respect for him and not frown upon his religious background and make him feel inferior because of it. Her parents refuse to have him to their house, and she won't go meet his parents. They are together 3 years!!

Uch this whole thing makes me ill. I can't even look at her today. She just got here and snuck around the back way to her desk so she wouldn't have to pass me. Next time she does I may trip her.

So sorry Misty! You're really getting it hard at work these days! If I were you, I'd start being a little less open and willing to share my private life with these fools. You deserve better. Must be a very unhappy bunch. So rude and clueless....
