25 Random things...

So every now & then we used to post surveys over here on the newlywed board...i figured since there are a bunch of newbies & some of us 'oldies'(ahem: ME lol) it would be fun and let us get to know each other a little more...I stole this from facebook...lol..if u're bored - why not

List 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

1. I was named after a tv character that Nicolette Sheridan played back in the day..on an old soap called 'Paper Dolls' :)

2. I love Jesus so much that it sometimes even makes me an emotional mess..& i want everyone to feel that love. I have this crazy idea of playing shows at random bars/clubs/lounges/etc. and throwing worship music in there.. only noone will really know it's worship..and everyone will wonder 'just who IS this guy she's talking about'?? and i'll get to tell them :)

3. I love my family more than they could ever know(and my true friends count in that equation)..work & location is a major factor right now, but that doesn't mean that I don't think about them & wish I was spending time with them every single day.

4. I am HORRIBLE at making phonecalls. I'm workin' on it.

5. I love crime solving/special agent shows...once upon a time(& i still think about it from time to time ;) ) i wanted to be a crime scene investigator, or on a SWAT team...then I discovered the entertainment business and realized I could be all of that without getting a bullet in my head or my butt kicked :) ..still waiting for that action movie where i can be on the special forces!lol.

6. I love the smell of grass...and the smell of gasoline at the gas station(yes..for real lol)..

7. Living in the city has given me a whole new appreciation for fall & winter. There is nothing like bundeling up, grabbing a cup of coffee & just enjoying the atmosphere of this great place :)

8. I have a sick sense of intuition(most women do) that I inherited from my mother..sometimes it really freaks me out..and no - i'm not a wierdo - i swear :)

9. I have amazing childhood memories of just playing in my neighborhood with a million kids and spending time with my cousins...it makes me sad that kids these days want to grow up so fast & that their only concern is ipods, cellphones, and being 'mature'

10. I would love to live in Europe just for a year...I think it would be amazing..so would the west coast..but then I would feel like I've missed so much in my loved one's lives..so who knows..maybe just a long really extended vacation is best :)

11. I used to never cry at movies, weddings, music, plays, etc....then I got married and it turned me into a complete sap. I have no idea what happened lol.

12. After years(YEARS) of battle, I've finally learned to love myself just the way I am..I am comfortable & confident in my own skin - and my husband thinks it's the sexiest thing in the world :) Infact the very thing I hated most growing up just so happens to be his favorite part of me... who knew ;)

13. I love roadtrips & just driving in general. I can be all by myself, but once that music goes on it's an AWESOME thing.

14. I can actually say I love my job & every one of my co-workers..including my boss..

15. I love going to tiny little venues and hearing new musicians..it's probably one of my favorite things to do.

16. A lot of people have never REALLY seen me dance...teach me a hiphop routine & u'd be suprised how this little white girl can break it down ;) give me a pair of tap shoes & i promise u'll be suprised & actually enjoy it :) ..and I also love sports..and am convinced that if I actually played them I really would be good..

17. I can sing on a stage in front of ten million people and be completely comfortable...however put me in a living room with someone I know and I can't do it..I'm probably the most nervous you'll EVER see me.

18. I consider my family to be my best friends and my best friends to be my family no matter how much time goes by. I admire my mother & grandmother more than they will ever know..they both deserve nothing less than unconditional love & happiness.

19. I am so crazy about my husband it's not even funny..it's almost ridiculous how much my heart feels for him and how happy he makes me :) We went through a lot before we got married that most people don't know about - but we both faught for what we now have. He is my best friend..and I truly KNOW that God made him just for me.

20. I love food and coffee..probably more than anyone else u know!

21. I am glad that I have a HUGE extended family..and that we've all kept our relationship through the years..it's a rare and wondeful thing :)

22. I love to sleep and enjoy the rain(especially in the summer).

23. I love animals..and learning about religions..okay that was like - two things - but oh well.lol.

24. I have an obsession with art...whether it be a painting, architecture, music, a movie, tattoos, fashion..I am intrigued by all of it. I think 'The Suncreen Song' is a profound piece of art.

25. Church is one of my favorite things of the week & i mean that with all sincerity. For anyone who has not had an amazing experience with it, I encourage you...come to my church and you'll understand why :)

This is so funny


1- I buy the same outfits in different colors.

2- I am obsessed with dogs. Mostly because I never could have them growing up. I had a imaginary dog instead of a friend as a kid and I used to walk him on a leash. DH says one day im going to get bit because I always pet strangers dogs.

3- I have a really hard time concentrating and I can't sit still or do the same thing for long periods of time. It made me get bad grades in school and affects me at work.

4- I love organizing and decorating things.

5- I don't think I picked the right job field.

6- I am a very go with the flow person and this drives DH nuts.

7- I haven't eaten meat in 20 years.

8- I am terrible at lying and being fake.

9- I like to sleep and take naps all the time.

10- I think about my loved ones who died everyday.

11- I am super paranoid about anything happening to my family.

12- If I don't work out I get sick.

13- I love the sun and I get depressed in the winter.

14- I would die if I couldn't drink coffee.

15- I kill plants.

16- My DH got me into comic books and I read them everyday.

17- I love to paint that is my real passion.

18- Most people bore me.

18- I used to ask my parents for a sister every christmas and birthday.

19- I think my godson is the greatest person in the world and I never felt love at first sight until I held him.

20- I let my cat go places he shouldnt really go with me like the bathroom.

21- I love US weekly

22- I get freaked out by peoples natural smells. I couldn't date some men because of it.

23- My DH suffers from a rare skin disease and I feel helpless because I can't help him.

24- When I was in 4th grade I didn't like people to watch me eat so I would cover my face when I chewed.

25- When I swim in the ocean I always think something is going to grab my feet and if they didn't look so funny I would wear those shoes in the water.

I did the MS Walk in 07 with my sister. It was a lot of fun. I'm going to do it this year and if I can ever get my butt in shape I want to do the 50 mile bike ride.

1- Noone in my family calls me by my full name.

2- I am deathly afraid of heights and snakes.

3- I think cats are evil and am scared of them.

4- I am a cupcake-crazed person and can eat a whole batch in one sitting because I love them so much!

5- I was held up at gun point while the people with me were tied up....the scariest five minutes of my life!

6- I was hit by a car at 12 and was lucky to walk away alive, let alone without any broken bones!

7- I am obsessed with my dog and really do think she's my daugther!

8- I can't stomach cashiers who cannot count change!

9- I HATE customer service rep's who struggle with English...how can you help me if you can't understand me?

10- Immigration is the best thing to happen to our country!

11- I want to travel to every continent, but do not want to sit on those long flights.

12-I was an honor student in Elementary and Middle school, a HS deliquent and a honors College graduate....go figure!

13- I've always wanted to teach and am so happy that I followed through with my dreams.

14- I do not like my middle name, but am glad it's the same as my mother's.

15- My father was missing for a huge chunk of my life.

16- My mother is the bestest friend that any girl can ever have! I'd die without her!

17- My husband is definitely the male version of me!

18- I am obsessed with I Love Lucy and wish people still dressed like they did and life was a simple as it was then.

19- I love Ebay and look on it even when I don't plan on buying anything.

20- I've said goodbye to friends in the past and was worried that I was making the wrong decision, but later learned that if I hadn't made those decisions I would've lived a miserable life.

21- Cooking is my passion and no matter how tired I am, I honestly do not mind doing it!

22- My favorite number is 22.

23- I'm only 4'11'', but wear a size 8 shoe!

24- I've been dying my hair since I was about 13.

25- Pink is my favorite color and I tend to buy things in pink A LOT!

2. I was a competitive gymnast for years.

3. My stage mom put me in voice lessons at age 4. She dragged me & my damn headshots all over Manhattan throughout my childhood. By the 4th grade, I was taking the LIRR into NYC by myself for auditions. And no, never got a great role in anything; just some crappy commercials & JC Penny catalogues.

4. I have recently understood why expensive jeans are expensive & I have embraced them. True Religion jeans shave 10 pounds off my, no joke.

5. I DVR Days of Our Lives every day

6. My closet is in color order

7. I’m independent to the point that I might be a loner sometimes.

8. I have anxiety to the point that my hands shake almost constantly. It sometimes annoys DH. He doesn’t understand why I am such a “nervous wreck” but it’s just who I am.

9. I did not marry my best friend.

10. I am a New Year’s baby

11. I no longer speak to my sister due to her behavior at my wedding. It’s been almost 2 years.

12. I was addicted to Depeche Mode, the Cure, etc. I wore a lot of black.

13. I had a nose job & I want another one

14. I CANNOT handle metal on paper. Like scissors cutting paper. Or a paper clip scratching a piece of paper.

15. I had mono twice

16. I am a doormat… but I’m working on it.

17. I was told I could never have children. Then I got pregnant.

18. I should have taken the “favor” I was offered and gone to that better college. I let my pride screw me.

ok here goes.....

1. i was supposed to be named meredith gray.....no lie just like on grays anatomy....but my father can t spell so i had to get a hooked on phonics name....amanda

2 i inherited my fathers horrible spelling

3 i used to work at NAPA auto parts as a delivery girl......
business was up that summer

4 i am an only child but also a middle child....
i have 2 older steps and 2 younger halfs, but i am the only 1 with my mom and dad

5 i won the art award in high school

6 i am totally anal/ocd with some of my organization stuff, i have lists for absolutely everything

7 i love to dance even if i suck at it

8 i love country music

9 i love my blue eyes.....and pray my children get them too

10 i went to the NKOTB concert where donnie fell through the floor of the stage

11 i never got detention or anything like that until my senior year when i became a trouble maker, but i still graduated 13th in my class

12 i love to bake.....anything and everything

13 i knew the 1st time DH told me he loved me that i was going to marry him....it was only a matter of time

14i took my mother to ireland for her 50th bday to celebrate our heritage and visit our distant relatives...she totally deserved it!!!!!!

15 i grew up on farm....yes a real farm with cows and chickens and lots and lots of corn and hay fields...sadly we still own the land but it hasnt been an active farm for a long time now

16 i have no grandparents left for over 4 years now, but i have adopted DHs grandparents as my own now but its just not the same bc i grew up on the farm living next door to my father parents sooooo they were so much more to me than grandparents

17 i have to name my cars and my friends cars too if i ride with them....its a strange obsession i know...my current car is Sally

18 i have to have 1 day a week to sleep in, even if its just a little late but i need 1 day without waking up to an alarm.....i hate the sound of all alarm clocks!!!!!!!!

19 i have a horrible love/hate relationship with my job....
i love what i do but i am not too crazy about where i work.....very frustrating sometimes

20 i am a cat and dog person.....i feel most people are either one or the other and some rare people are both like me

21 grad school was the best and yet hardest times of my life for soooo many reasons too many to list

22 it took me about 20 years to finally accept my freckles and embrace them as part of who i am

23 i love my family and good friends so much and would do almost anything for them and i know they would do the same for me

24 DH and I = the best sex ever!!!!!

25 i sometimes wonder how people plan a wedding without being on LIW....
and i know i owe a lot of girls here many thanks for all the help they given not just to me but to everyone who posts and sometimes i really needed the joke or quest of the day and NWR stuff to help me feel better and make me smile....so thank you ladies

1. My father died in a car accident. I was stuck in the traffic from that accident and had no clue it was his car. It haunts me everyday that I was that close to him on his last day on earth and had no clue.

2. My grandmother grew up being called 'sister' by her brothers and one of her brothers is called 'brother'. My grandmother to this day is called Aunt Sister and we call him Uncle Brother.

3. I am obsessed with Rachael Ray and when I cook I sometimes pretend I am doing a cooking show and will say things that she says. Like if I am putting pasta in a pot I'll say 'Ok, lets get all the kiddies in the hot tub'. It's awkward when DH hears me.

4. I fell in quicksand when I was 5. It got up to my chest before I was pulled out.

5. I was arrested for serving alcohol to a minor while working in a bar. The worst part is that the official charge was listed as having 'unlawful dealings with a minor'. I sounded like a child molester.

6. I used to be a pretty big party girl and looking back I'm surprised I got out of the scene I was in as unharmed as I did.

7. I once slipped a laxative pill into a guy's drink who had mistreated my friend. I would do it again too.

8. I say the word 'vagina' a few times a day, every day.

9. I desperately want to have children but I have always had thoughts that I won't be able to conceive.

10. I can watch episodes of Friends and Scrubs over and over and still laugh like it's the first time I've heard it.

11. My feet are very tiny and I can fit them into some children's sizes. I was mortified once when I was caught by an employee at Target while trying on a pair of children's ballet flats.

12. I will avoid going #2 in public bathrooms at all costs.

13. I peed my pants once when I was 17. I was high and laughing too hard.

14. I'm a serial flasher. Many people have seen my hooters.

15. I have dyed my hair since I was in 10th grade. I have absolutely no idea what color it really is.

16. My mom and my sister are my best friends. My greatest fear is losing one of them.

17. My grandmother's favorite saying is 'the bigger the nose, the bigger the hose'. She says this in public, to anyone who will listen.

18. My father was in AA for years before he passed away. Sometimes I drive to his old meetings and sit in the parking lot.

19. DH is constantly asking me how to spell words. I can only spell spelling bee style. Like: 'Weirdo, W-E-I-R-D-O, Weirdo'

20. I don't pray often, but when I do I have to start and end the prayer with the sign of the cross. If I don't, I feel like the prayer is unfinished. It's like a period at the end of a sentence.

21. I love all kinds of music, especially classic rock.

22. I read Jenna Jameson's book three times. I think she is very smart.

23. I had pretty low self-esteem in high school and allowed guys to walk all over me. I am still struggling with my self-esteem.

24. My mother once told me that a shopping spree can make you feel better when you've had a bad day. I totally agree with this.

25. I have a very off beat sense of humor. Some people totally get me and others think I am borderline socially retarded. It's pretty much a crapshoot.

1.) I was told by my endocrinologist that due to my elevated prolactin level and tumor on my pituitary gland that it would be very difficult to have children. I am 15 weeks pregnant today!

2.) I grew up in Norwalk, CT and currently live in Bristol, CT (home of ESPN). My mom was born and raised in LI and so was DH.

3.) I hate listening to my voice being played back. I never leave voicemails, I don’t page over the intercom at work, and I hate to talk when there are video cameras nearby.

4.) I don’t listen to my cell phone voicemail. I let it get full and delete itself over time.

5.) I press ridiculously hard when I brush my teeth so I need to replace my toothbrushes very often! I can’t stand still and brush my teeth; DH calls me “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Toothbrush”!

6.) I swear by my Dyson upright vacuum.

7.) I have an older sister who I speak to maybe once every couple of months. I used to get upset when she didn’t return my calls or hit “ignore” when I called, but I’ve come to realize that she is too self involved to care.

8.) I have 1350 wedding proofs on DVD and on my computer and haven’t printed out a single picture or album…and I loved my photographer!

9.) I feel much better about myself when I’m tan.

10.) I hate watching live TV and I love my DVR

11.) My favorite Disney move is The Little Mermaid lol

12.) My biggest fear in life is getting an epidural or a spinal tap

13.) I shave my arms

14.) I am terrible at managing my money and I should really just hand it over to my DH!

15.) I hate the feeling of cold tile on bare feet. In fact, I hate walking barefoot in public places (minus the beach on the sand).

16.) My BF moved her wedding back a year to save some more money and because three of her bridesmaids were due the week before her wedding!

17.) I love to sing but I'm terrified of karaoke - even in a group!

18.) On our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico DH and I went on an excursion and the bus left us at the ruins even though we told the tour guide that my DH had to use the bathroom and he said it was no problem!

19.) I LOVE DOGS! We have three. I don't really like cats but I have two

20.) I'm excited about our new president!

21.) I don't mind getting blood taken or getting shots but I HATE getting the finger prick!

22.) I have big feet! Size 11!

23.) I love the macaroni salad at the Ruby Tuesday salad bar! The one with ham and peas! Do you know which one I'm talking about?!

24.) CT bagels are gross and I get A&S bagels whenever we visit DH's family!

25.) I don't eat meat off the bone. I can't even cut it off and eat it. I can't even see the bones!

I just did this on facebook so Ill post here too.

1. God is and will always be the center of my life.

2. My husband, sisters, and mom are truly my best friends. I am so thankful for them.

3. I am blessed to be a step mom to such a sweet kid.

4. I adore my niece and nephews more than words can say. They bring me so much joy.

5. I so look forward to having babies :)

6. I love chocolate...too much.

7. I miss my dad. I also wish my husband had a chance to meet him in person. I think they would have been good fishing and hunting buddies.

8. I'm not a morning person. And my ideal amt of sleep for optimal functioning is around 10 hrs. But I can sleep up to 12.

9. I'm super sensitive to temperature changes. I overheat easily (I love summer/warm weather though!) and don't do well at all in cold weather. I hope to live down south after I finish my doctoral program. Note to self: figure out how to convince whole fam to come.

10. The smell of cilantro gives me a headache. I can smell it from a mile away and I won't eat anything with it.

11. Cant really sleep anywhere but a bed (no car, couch, plane).

12. God has used me having MD for so much good in my life. I feel that I wouldn't have had it any other way. I just want his will for my life.

13. I really like country music, would choose country over city any day, and our home decor is primitive/americana/country. I know, that was real random.

14. I want to work in health psych or counsel within a Christian ministry after I finish this never-ending program, but I'm open to wherever God leads me.

15. I love the water, love being in it and hope to live by it. So relaxing.

16. I love gum (sugar free). If I have a pack, I might go through it all in one day, popping a new piece as soon as the last one loses flavor.

17. I love my church and community group. The community, fellowship, and Biblical teaching have been an immeasurable means of grace in my life.

18. I never wear socks. And I rarely wear a jacket (even in winter), and am constantly harassed for it.

19. I'm very passionate about the pro life cause.

20. I love having my 'sleepytime' tea and graham crackers every evening.

21. I usually have the TV going in the background at any given time. I can tune it out really easily. This is an area where Nate and I are complete opposites. He hates TV.

22. I really don't like that it takes me like an hr and a half to get ready after showering. I dread the process. Im always rushing and leaving later than planned. Not sure the last time I actually left at the planned time.

23. I don't like reading books (aside from Bible), again complete opposite to my book-worm husband. It might be the result of being in school for too long.

24. Loathe public speaking and interviews.

25. Have a lot of nightmares and vivid dreams.

26. I can't stick to the 25 limit. My husband is the man my mom told me about when I was younger and the man I prayed for for so long. I know that God was preparing us for each other. We started talking in 2003, waited and prayed (often together) for direction for a long time before actually meeting in person in 2005. I met Nate the same exact way my mom met my step-dad. He eventually moved here from Alaska for us to start our life together. I am so thankful for him and how he serves, cares for, and leads our family, with such a joyful spirit. He's my best friend and its like I have a personal comedy show 24/7, lol. Love him! Sorry, long one!

1. I can’t wait to have a baby, but I am scared to death of child birth. If DH and I were financially able, I’d probably be pregnant. YIKES!

2. I want a really huge family! I love Cheaper by the Dozen (my favorite movie). I don’t know about 12, but at least 6.

3. Believe it or not, I am actually a shy person. I won’t even call to order my own take out. For some reason, I am just too shy.

4. I will be 23 in April and I have a 3 month old baby sister!!! My parents are separated and my dad is re-married. It’s my dad’s daughter. In the beginning, I hated that she was pregnant! Now, I love the baby. I couldn’t be happier for them. As long as my dad is happy, who am I to try to take that away? I am going to be Ava Jeans’s god mother next month! I can’t wait!

5. I also have 2 brothers of my own, 3 step brothers and now baby Ava. I think this may be the reason I want a huge family!

6. My mother is my best friend and my hero with a doubt!

7. Every time I think of my DH, I smile. He’s literately perfect for me. I really, truly believe that we were meant to be. I fell for him the moment I met him!

8. I HATE driving. I don’t know why, I just hate it. On the other hand, I love to take road trips so much that we drove to FL for our HM. DH drove the whole way lol.

9. I worked in a bridal shop before my wedding. I really thank them (although they treated me like crap) for helping me find my niche. I am in the process of getting my bachelors degree in business management and I am going to start bridal consultant/wedding planning courses. I haven’t decided yet if I want to open my own bridal shop or be a wedding planner. I love weddings!

10. I am very self conscious about my weight. I was 210 lbs at 13 and I am afraid to gain weight. Recently, I have been eating like a moose and I gained 4 inches on my waist. I NEED to start dieting!

11. I am very anal about getting things done. Once I start something, it has to get done and get done right or I freak. Sometimes, my determination gets me crazy!

12. My dog Bella is basically my daughter. I baby her so much! I just love her to death! I take her almost every where I go and she sleeps next to me at night.

13. I always have to be 100% organized. My DVDs are in alphabetical order, DH video games; basically everything I can alphabetize is in order!

14. My DH’s name is Frankie and my name is Julieann (Jules). I plan on naming my first son Frankie so DH will them become Frank and my first daughter is going to be named Juliette after my mom and my grandma (Julia and Jeanette). We will have kids named Frank and Jules. lol

15. DH is teaching me to work on cars. He was a mechanic when he was younger and I have always loved the idea of restoring an old car. I am learning the basics like the parts and tools, oil changes and diagnostics; things like that. I can’t wait to start a restoration project with him.

16. I love to watch cartoons. I don’t know why, I just do. They are so funny! Like Sponge Bob, he’s the man!

17. Bad quality to have- I never hold back. If I feel something, I say it. My big mouth has gotten me into trouble many times.

18. I have an obsession with taking pictures and being in them. Just to see them, to freeze that one moment in your life. That’s really special to me. Corny, I know.

19. My wedding date 9/14 is the same date DH proposed and the same date we started dating. It’s also my area code lol.

20. DH and I went to Disney World 3 times in the past 3 years. I can’t get enough of it!!

21. I love my grandparents to death! My grandma and I always sit and talk about anything in the world and my grandpa always has me cracking up! My grandpa is always teaching me how to say bad things in Italian and my grandma says nothing but “Guido!!” I dread the day I loose them.

22. I HATE all the Gieco commercials!!!!!

23. I drive a 5-speed. It's actually more difficult for me to drive an automatic because I drive with both feet!

24. My DH was in a car accident almost 5 years ago. He suffers from major back issues and had a surgery that failed. I feel horrible that I can’t help him sometimes. When he had the surgery, I just looked at him and cried, praying to god to get rid of the pain for him. I would have taken it for him. I hate that I can’t help him sometimes.

25. On the morning of my wedding, DH called me to sing “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge. I cried just as much then as I did at the altar. Now he calls me every time he hears it to let me hear it. I love that!
