25 Random things...

So every now & then we used to post surveys over here on the newlywed board...i figured since there are a bunch of newbies & some of us 'oldies'(ahem: ME lol) it would be fun and let us get to know each other a little more...I stole this from facebook...lol..if u're bored - why not

List 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

1. I was named after a tv character that Nicolette Sheridan played back in the day..on an old soap called 'Paper Dolls' :)

2. I love Jesus so much that it sometimes even makes me an emotional mess..& i want everyone to feel that love. I have this crazy idea of playing shows at random bars/clubs/lounges/etc. and throwing worship music in there.. only noone will really know it's worship..and everyone will wonder 'just who IS this guy she's talking about'?? and i'll get to tell them :)

3. I love my family more than they could ever know(and my true friends count in that equation)..work & location is a major factor right now, but that doesn't mean that I don't think about them & wish I was spending time with them every single day.

4. I am HORRIBLE at making phonecalls. I'm workin' on it.

5. I love crime solving/special agent shows...once upon a time(& i still think about it from time to time ;) ) i wanted to be a crime scene investigator, or on a SWAT team...then I discovered the entertainment business and realized I could be all of that without getting a bullet in my head or my butt kicked :) ..still waiting for that action movie where i can be on the special forces!lol.

6. I love the smell of grass...and the smell of gasoline at the gas station(yes..for real lol)..

7. Living in the city has given me a whole new appreciation for fall & winter. There is nothing like bundeling up, grabbing a cup of coffee & just enjoying the atmosphere of this great place :)

8. I have a sick sense of intuition(most women do) that I inherited from my mother..sometimes it really freaks me out..and no - i'm not a wierdo - i swear :)

9. I have amazing childhood memories of just playing in my neighborhood with a million kids and spending time with my cousins...it makes me sad that kids these days want to grow up so fast & that their only concern is ipods, cellphones, and being 'mature'

10. I would love to live in Europe just for a year...I think it would be amazing..so would the west coast..but then I would feel like I've missed so much in my loved one's lives..so who knows..maybe just a long really extended vacation is best :)

11. I used to never cry at movies, weddings, music, plays, etc....then I got married and it turned me into a complete sap. I have no idea what happened lol.

12. After years(YEARS) of battle, I've finally learned to love myself just the way I am..I am comfortable & confident in my own skin - and my husband thinks it's the sexiest thing in the world :) Infact the very thing I hated most growing up just so happens to be his favorite part of me... who knew ;)

13. I love roadtrips & just driving in general. I can be all by myself, but once that music goes on it's an AWESOME thing.

14. I can actually say I love my job & every one of my co-workers..including my boss..

15. I love going to tiny little venues and hearing new musicians..it's probably one of my favorite things to do.

16. A lot of people have never REALLY seen me dance...teach me a hiphop routine & u'd be suprised how this little white girl can break it down ;) give me a pair of tap shoes & i promise u'll be suprised & actually enjoy it :) ..and I also love sports..and am convinced that if I actually played them I really would be good..

17. I can sing on a stage in front of ten million people and be completely comfortable...however put me in a living room with someone I know and I can't do it..I'm probably the most nervous you'll EVER see me.

18. I consider my family to be my best friends and my best friends to be my family no matter how much time goes by. I admire my mother & grandmother more than they will ever know..they both deserve nothing less than unconditional love & happiness.

19. I am so crazy about my husband it's not even funny..it's almost ridiculous how much my heart feels for him and how happy he makes me :) We went through a lot before we got married that most people don't know about - but we both faught for what we now have. He is my best friend..and I truly KNOW that God made him just for me.

20. I love food and coffee..probably more than anyone else u know!

21. I am glad that I have a HUGE extended family..and that we've all kept our relationship through the years..it's a rare and wondeful thing :)

22. I love to sleep and enjoy the rain(especially in the summer).

23. I love animals..and learning about religions..okay that was like - two things - but oh well.lol.

24. I have an obsession with art...whether it be a painting, architecture, music, a movie, tattoos, fashion..I am intrigued by all of it. I think 'The Suncreen Song' is a profound piece of art.

25. Church is one of my favorite things of the week & i mean that with all sincerity. For anyone who has not had an amazing experience with it, I encourage you...come to my church and you'll understand why :)

omg - had no idea u were in Queens! u should totally check out Christ Tabernacle..i freakin' love it. It's right on Myrtle ave. in Glendale across from Stop & Shop. The music is awesome - and the pastors have a CRAZY testimony. They have a website with all the info on services and such... www.Christtabernacle.org - check it out if u want!

1) I was named after a ghost in an episode of abbott & Costello...it was my moms favorite episode.

2) I have serious issues with people or things touching my neck...specifically in the collarbone area. I cringe and if somebody does it to me in public I'm almost certain to embarass myself by crumbling to the floor while freaking out in a panic. I think maybe i was strangled in a past life

3) I used to fold my quilt into a really long rectangle and walk down it like it was a runway when I was little

4) I sang solos in alot of my high school chorus performances even though my husband tells me I sound like a strangled cat

5) I studied Wicca when I was in high school and while I do consider myself Catholic... I don't regret it.

6) I met my husband because his friend hit on me

7) I think there is a secret part of me that enjoys and would be good at exotic dancing but my morals would never allow me to actually do it.

8) I am very interested in archaeology and marine biology...especially religious archaeology

9) I have a goal to see the endangered pink dolphin before i die

10) Baking is one of my favorite things to do. I'm pretty good at making rainbow cookies, chocolate pistachio cake, and yellow cake so far.

11) I struggle to be neat and organized...it's deff not something I was born with.

12) I once spent a weekend in jail when I was about 17 or 18 for smoking pot. (my record has since been cleared and I have not smoked pot in a VERY long time)

13) I want so badly to take alot of dance classes and learn to dance on pointe.

14) I used to be a major party girl...going to raves every weekend...and now...my family says I'm like betty crocker or martha stewart.

15)I'd love for my first born to be a boy (even though I'll love it no matter what it is)

16) I love singing Bjork & Carly Simon at Karaoke nights

17) I was freakishly good in my history classes...while I would sleep through and flunk out of my math classes.

18) I have a pretty big Geisha Tattoo on my right hip.

19) my husband is my best friend and when we first met...he patted me on the head and said 'cute'.

20) I am currently obsessed with the 'fashion wars' game on Myspace

21) I like shooting guns but would never hunt an animal

22) I had a major crush on the pilsbury Dough boy and Felix the cat when I was little. I thought they would one day be my boyfriend.

23) I am an open book. I could tell a total stranger the most intimate details of my life. My husband hates that about me because he thinks it can only end up hurting me. I just think life is too short to keep things inside. even if its a bad thing...let it out!!! you live and you learn...just because you have things in your past you may not be proud of doesn't make you a bad person.

24) I sometimes think I could be totally happy living on a farm, churning butter with a pet pig

25) no matter what challenges I face...I am REALLY HAPPY with my life.

16.I wish I lived in Texas so I could go to Joel Osteen’s church- I watch his mass every Sunday and he inspires me and I always feel like God is speaking to me through him. Why else would I wake up every Sunday exactly in time for that show? lol

26. My previous boyfriend freaked out my mom when she met/saw him for the first time, because he was a spitting image of my dad, whom i have never saw or met!!!! In fact one of my aunts at my wedding thought it was my dad's son at my wedding.

27. I loved being an only child till I was 18. When I was younger (5yrs old) I wanted a bro or sis, BUT being the only child and grandchild was fantastic in other ways. I was spoiled and my grandpa still says i am the favorite and number 1.

28. I went to summer camp on Shelter Island. I had the best time ever.. and would like to send my sisters if they want to go.

29. Even though they are not my responsiblity I feel the urge to take care of EVERYONE in my family. They all know it too.. in an instant I would drop what I am doing to help them all.

30. I love pac man!!! and also mario brothers... and tetris. I like old school games!

26. I have a fear of escalators. I got my shoelace and then pants s ucked into one when I was 4. My brother saved me from being s ucked in.

This happened to me too!!!!!!! I was about 7 and it happened at Macy's in the city. Scariest thing ever!

1. Im a twin (and my twin brother is the coolest guy ever)
2. Im left handed
3. I teach kindergarten in Brooklyn and I have kids with autism in my class (its been a very rewarding school year!)
4. I was a candy striper for 4 years and loved doing it
5. The best 4 years of my life was going away to SUNY Oneonta...i have the greatest memories being there and met the most amazing people there (including my hubby)
6. People think i look young enough to be in H.S. still
7. I like road trips and would love to drive cross country one day
8. I love to read and to write
9. I ALWAYS have my camera with me in case there's something that i want to take a picture of...someday when i have more money im going to invest in a nice DSLR and take a photography class
10. I hate the winter and i think my moods revolve around what the weather is like outside..dark and gloomy= blah mood....sunny and bright=great mood
11. My cats think they are either people or dogs, but def NOT cats
12. Im obsessed with my computer and im on it pretty much all day, and if i cant be on it, then i have my blackberry that can be on the internet if i need it
13. Having a GPS is an absolute necessity for me and even with it- i tend to get lost
14. I want to move out of NY and to somewhere more south where its warmer and more affordable
15. I am the absolute worst singer but i LOVE to sing in my car (when im alone of course)
16. Sweet Home Alabama and The Notebook are the greatest movies ever and the best love stories (the kind that makes u wish u had that)...i can watch them a thousand times and never get sick of them
17. I love to watch all of the crappy reality shows on MTV and basically any show on the WB
18. I've been through a lot growing up but they made me the person I am today and somehow ive turned out okay
19. 'Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.' There are some people in my life that I dont really talk to anymore but they have def left an impact on me
20. Last but not least- I absolutely can not live without ice cream and chocolate chip cookies

4. I like to make up random words about what I'm doing to whatever song is on the radio. If joey and I are going to the mall and Womanizer comes on we'll make the lyrics about going to the mall and what we are going to buy. I've always done it, and then the first time he did it I knew we were meant to be, lol



OH EM GEE! We do this too and we crack ourselves up. A lot of times me make songs about poopie and peepee (yes we're 5 years old) but we also just switch songs to what we are doing. One time DH was having a road rage fit while Bohemian Rhapsody was on and he wouldnt let this guy in our lane so I started singing 'MAMMA *** MAMMA *** LET HIM GO, while dh sang I WILL NOT LET HIM GO. We were dying!! But we do it all the tiiiime. I have to work on my 25 things. This is tough

2. i HATE pea soup
3. i am a loud, outgoing person that is not afraid to speak up - esp if someone is bothering me or my friends
4. i witnessed someone fly off the back of a convertible in the jones beach parking lot... it was one of the scariest things ever... he did 2 back flips, landed on his head, cracked his head open and crushed his fingers... i can still see him holding up his hands and noting that all his fingernails were hanging off
5. i have a small group of very close friends... but only one friend in particular that i can tell ANYTHING and EVERYTHING too (besides DH of course!!)
6. i have been in one bar fight - some biitch pulled my hair
7. i have never had a one night stand
8. i have never tried any 'hard' drugs
9. i have, however, dabbled with pain killers
10. i have a HUGE fear of flying... i now take xanax every time i fly
11. i tend to put up a wall if you are just getting to know me... this is why most ppl say that they thought i was the biggest bitchh they ever met.. i think its from my 2 years in middle school when i was made fun of so much

21. no one EVER believes that i'm 26 years old... and its really annoying
22. i'm the 4th oldest of 21 (soon to be 24-my aunt is preggo with triplets!!) first cousins
23. i have 4 tattoos and 12 piercings
24. it took me a really long time to be able to correctly pronounce the word 'florida' lol i have no idea why

13. I hated cats and decided to try one out since were not allowed to have animals in my apartment and I figured a cat would be quiet. Now Im an insane CAT LADY. And if I wasnt married Id have at least 25.

14. I used to never be afraid to fly until 9/11 and now I have a panic attack on every flight.

15. If my head wasnt attached to my body, it would have been lost a long time ago. I lose things the minute I put them down, I can never find my cell phone or car keys. I am the most unorganized person in the universe.

16. My sister and I shared a room until she was 20 and I was 18. We are best friends.

17. Im very competitive. Almost to the 'Monica' extent (from Friends). DH has to remind me were not competing sometimes. :)

18. I dont like to shop at all. I hate to spend money and I have anxiety when I spend it. Even if its 5-10 dollars. Im constantly asking if I need something and sometimes I will go out for one specific thing but then force myself not to buy it. Were not hard on cash I just cant bring myself to buy things especially anything namebrand and I dont know where it stems from. DH has to FORCE me to buy clothes. I stil have some clothes from 5-10 years ago.

19. Im still pursuing my music career and decided to give myself til 30 before I call it quits. I came real close before my money was stolen by a crooked manager and I feel like its my calling. Im stuck in a bad record contract but Ive taken things into my own hands and hopefully something will happen within the next couple of years.

20. I was never popular and never wanted to be. The 'cool kids' sickened me.

21. I have an extremely guilty conscience and dont like to lie or hurt the people I love. It eats at me until I cant take it anymore

22. My mother was a single mother and raised two girls on her own. She still managed to have us in the nicest clothes and not ever let us know she was struggling. She is the strongest woman I know.

23. I cant sit still. I always have to be doing something. Whether its being on the computer, watching TV, listening to music. I have to keep my mind busy. DH notices this and it makes him crazy. I also have insomnia because of my constant moving mind.

24. IM terrified of the dark and always have every single light on in the house. At night I freak out going to the bathroom and run back into the bedroom.

25. Im very independent and love to do things by myself. I never let anyone tell me I cant do something and Ive learned over the years I can do ANYTHING I set my mind to.

2. I absolutely love my fat cat Sammy and my new springer spaniel puppy Lani

3. I love cheesey girlie books and movies.

4. I can't dance and hate dancing in front of people. I was so nervous about our first dance. Thank god DH is a ham and everyone was looking at him.

5. I can't sing but love to belt out tunes...i have been known to not sing the right lyrics also I listen to a lot of odd music particularly show tunes when I am driving. I am also on a Hawaiian music kick b/c I am going through Hawaii withdrawal.

6. I can never sit still. I need to constantly be doing something. My mind never stops. I can only deal with being off from work for a few days before I need to do something or go somewhere. Last summer I didn't work summer school b/c of the wedding and I was bored within a few days. I had to go with DH to pick up his cousins in NY.

7. I cannot cook though I have been trying to help out in the kitchen lately. (New Years Resolution) Thank god my DH is the best cook.

8. I hate to be alone...especially over night i fear days when DH is away.

9. I am obsessed with Hawaii and look foward to going to visit DH's family every year. Unfortunately we are taking a year off this year.

10. I loved every minute of my destination wedding. I wish I could do it over and over. Though it caused a lot of drama with MY family members I am so happy that I stuck with my decision. Having my friends, family and loved ones in my favorite place with me made me the happiest girl in the world. I secrectly can't wait until DH and I are ready to have kids and can plan the baby's 1st birthday-baby luau in Hawaii

11. I am get nervous around people and talk too much and then feel unsecure about it after.

12. When I get something in my mind I have to do it right then and can't stop thinking about it until its done. If I start something I cannot stop until its done. I will finish a book in one sitting without sleeping if I have to.

13. My mom is jewish and my dad is catholic. Religion really confuses me and makes me feel uncomfortable though I wish it didn't. I wish my parents explained their religions to me as a kid b/c I am one confused adult.

14. DH and I shower together every night.

15. I love DH more than anything in the entire world.

16. I wish I had more friends that I really clicked with. Its lonely down here in Northern VA. My only close friends are in LI

17 I hate confrontation more than anything in the world. I let people walk all over me and don't say anything. I always feel like maybe I did something wrong. I am working on this.

18. I hardly ever drink alcohol anymore. The smell of beer makes me sick and has since Junior year of college.

19. I can talk to kids better than people my age.

20. I love kids and babies. I was born to work with kids. I love watching Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby , Super Nanny and John and Kate Plus 8. Its a sickness.

21. I get really frustrated with issues at my school (politics), and my teammates. I know I was born to be a teacher and wish teaching only involved KIDS!

22. I try to avoid it but I always find my way into drama I and then regret it later. I am working on this too!

23. I care too much about what others think of me. I am always trying to get people to like me ....again working on this

24. I wish I could afford a house move back to NY and be around family and friends right now.

25. DH cried through our entire wedding ceremony. He made all our guests cry, including my brother. I managed to hold it in b/c I promised myself I wouldn't cry.


I am sure there are more. So many of the things listed above made me think 'oh thats me' but I have forgotten them already.

26. When I get stressed my hair falls out in big circular patches...is called alopecia (spelling) thank god it diddn't happen around the wedding. I guess the planning a major life change didn't stress me out too much

Here's mine...

1. I love to shop and can't go more than 2 days without buying something.

2. My mom is my hero. Shes been through more than anyone I know and is still the stongest women I've ever met.

3. I cannot stand the color purple and all my friends and family know this and love to torture me with it.

4. I truly married my best friend.

5. My dad is the most subborn person ever but I still love him with all my heart.

6. I hate cancer

7. I don't know how to relax and often get overwhelmed with all that I want to accomplish.

8. One of my best friends moved to Europe to teach and I miss her more than she knows.

9. I am comfortable in my own skin, its taken me sometime, but I'm there and never felt so great!

10. My brother named me when I was born.

11. I hate being home alone.

12. I don't eat red meat, veal or pork.

13. I like wine, maybe a little to much...

14. I feel bad for people that judge others.. it just means they are not happy in their own lives..

15. I'm spoiled and I'll be the first to admit it.

16. I love reality TV.

17. I miss being a kid.

18. I love driving, just not in the snow.

19. My grandmother is 85 and the cutest person ever!

20. I wish I could have saved my uncle...

21. I believe in reincarnation.

22. I love the beach and would love to live in Aruba someday.

23. I hate when people I don't know stand close to me. Like standing in line, please stand at least 2-3 feet from me! I don't need you breathing down my neck!

24. I love the dance and I don't care who is watching...

Here's mine:

1- I love driving. When I am stressed I like to pupm the radio and drive around until I calm down.

2- I have always been part of the 'in -crowd' lol. I love being around people and if I go to a place will 'work the room'

3- In HS and College first impression people probably thought that I was conceited and stand-offish, This is not me I guess just what I portrat to the outside world

4- Few people genuinely know how sweet I am on the inside. I dont have a judgemental bone in my body and would do anything in my power to help someone that needs it.

5- I went back to school last Fall to get a second degree. It is really kicking my arse but I know that the sacrifice is worth it.

6- I would LOVE i mean LOVE to have twin boys. I really dont want a girl so my family tells me I will have Girl Triplets. As long as the child is healthy that is all that matters though.

7- My dream job is to work for the Secret Service or FBI as a Forensic Accountant.

8- I love Maryland/DC. I hope to move there within the next 5 years.

9- I really really need to stop smoking.

10- I am a really paranoid. If it is dark out I hate for people to walk behind me. I wont walk a block alone at night time. If I hear anything I think someone is breaking in.

11- DH really and truly is my BFF. Not to sound cliche but he really completes me. We have been through so much and love has really conquered all. I knew our first dance since I met him and truly belive that 'All My Life, I prayed for someone like you'.

12- Everyone thinks that DH's mom is my mom and that my mom is DH's mom.

13- I have two nephews Emmanuel and Adrian and they are my world. I never understood how much you could some a child until they came into my life.

14- I have a lot of close friends. I have my top 4 friends that although we may not all hang out together they truly mean the world to me.

15- I HATE when people put others down. Mind your own dayum business and stop being so negative to others.

16- I am a Daddy's girl. The only reason why I wanted the big wedding was so that my Daddy can walk me down the aisle. My family (Mom Brother and DH mean more then they know to me.)

17- My Dad has been battling sickness for a couple of years (cancer surviver, bad blood transfusion etc). EVERYONE knew and DH understood that God forbid something would have happened to him the wedding was off. I would not have had a big wedding if my Daddy couldnt walk me down the aisle.

18- I have weight issues. I wish I looked how I did when I first went into college. It really kills me to see pics but its a battle I need to continue fighting.

19- DH says that people take advantage of me all the time, Some times I see it, but most I just think I am being helpful.

20- I am very logical and a quick thinker. I can have a response for any question you ask me even if I am not too familiar with the subject matter.

21- I am very unaffectionate. I hate cuddling, hugging PDA any of that. DH knows that this is how I am and has helped me improve alot. Even my mom cant hug my for too long without me telling her to stop lol.

22- I have a fear of reptiles, snakes, and feet.

23- I dont think I could handle the death of one of my parents. It really scares me to think about it and I cant imagine my life without them.

24- I grew up in a Christian household and stayed away from church during my early years. Now I am back and my religion is stronger then ever.

25- I can be a byotch if you cross me. I hold grudges and forgive but never really forget. I will always remember what you did to me and no matter how our relationship may seem, will keep it in the back of my mind.
