2nd Update. In serious need of fashion advise w/pics Please be honest.
Thank you ladies so much..... I ended up ordering a few dresses online. I will just try them when they get here. hopefully they make it in time. I will post pics when they get here.
Ok my dilema is I am fat and nothing looks good on me. I will not were anything dress wise unless it is ankle length. As horrible as it is my family is expecting my great-grandmother to pass in the next few days. I know this sounds horrible but i am having to shop for a dress for the funeral that will be.
I found the dress below. I know it is not appropriate as is but i am going to were a black cardigan with it. Will that look horrible? Also could you please post some pics of a shoe that will look good with it?

I'm sorry to hear about your great-grandmother. I was in the same position just before my grandfather passed. It seems strange, but it's easier to get things lined up now so you won't have to worry later. I think that whatever you are comfortable in will be fine. If you can't find black, that's ok too. It might be worth it to look into skirts also.

it's ok... but looks very casual. a cardigan can probably dress it up, but being completely honest i dont like the dress itself and think $84 is too much for it
(and it's cheaper, but would still need some kind of cardigan or jacket)

I think the dress is fine, I would wear a black button down tie over shirt to try to cover up the shoulder area. I would not recc flip flops as shown in the pic. Something with more of a casual heel would work.

I think the dress is fine, just go with your idea and wear a cardigan, NO flip flops but low heel would be ok.

First I am very sorry to hear about your great grandmother. Second don't ever call yourself fat! You wouldn't let anyone else say it to you so don't say it about yourself . What you tell people is what they will see. You have so many great qualities about yourself so don't let fat be the only thing people notice. You are crazy for only wearing full length clothing but I understand what it'as like to have it in your head that you can only wear one style.
I don't think the style dress you posted does anyone any favors. I think that style only enhances the bad. The boobs look droopy and the girl in the photo looks bigger than she is.
For dresses choose something more fitted. I know fitted is probably the last thing you want but trust me it is better than the loose dress. Do you have to wear a dress? What about nice dress pants a pretty cami with a blazer or a coat over it.

Thank you so much ladies. My Great grandma is 104 and her quality of life is bad. On her 100 b-day she went blind. She cannot hear now. She is not able to eat any food now and they can hardly get food down. She is 86 lbs and dropping.
As for the dress. I was not sure about it in the first place. My only stip is it must be ankle length because I am VERY VERY uncomfortable with my legs.

I love it but what color cardigan would you wear with it? Also it says its 49 inches long from center point. What point in the center do you think they mean?

i would probably wear a charcoal cardigan or black on black, or even just plain solid black. it's a funeral, nobody is expecting you to be a fashionista as long as you are dressed appropriately.
i think torrid has physical stores in the mall, maybe its easier to run over and try it on? or call customer service and ask?

im not a huge fan of the original dress to be honest and im horrible with fashion, lol but the others all look too flashy to me.
35 bucks, i like this lane bryant dress. it shows a little leg tho.
