Do you take breaks, or just do it every single day?

EVERY DAY
How is it going for you Laurie??? Have you seen results? I think I am going to start this next week. I have been going to the gym every morning...but mostly doing cardio. I was hoping to find a routine that helps tone me up all around!

Well I have seen 'some' results... I think I probably would see more if I hadnt gotten severe poison ivy to the point where I had to be put on prednisone - which adds weight - so it $uck$ b/c I have been on the prednisone for 8 days so far while doing the shred - have 1 day left on the meds - but it still takes a while for the meds to leave your body. DAMN poison ivy I have lost 5 lbs though since Ive started the shred - but I may have lost more had I not had to take these meds - I am actually planning on starting up another round of the shred as soon as this one is finished. I am finishing this 1st 30 day shred off on level 2 & starting the next 30 days up on level 3 - so we'll see how it all goes from there.

I once tried to do Level 3. It was so hard I just sat on the couch and watched them do it! I was just amazed that anyone could actuall do those moves!

Re: 30 Day Shredders....
Does it bother anyone that doing it everyday seems counter intuitive to everything personal trainers usually teach? Shouldn't you let your muscles rest at least 48 in between workouts? Plus don't you need to vary workouts to get optimal results? I dunno... I've done the shred a bunch of times and it's a great workout but doing everyday does not seem like a good idea to me.

Depending on the excercise you dont always have to rest. I mean i always do Chest & Triceps 1 day Back & biceps another Shoulders calves & thighs. Another day. As a rule so im resting certain muscles on certain days. While i agree doing it everday isnt optimal & I also agree that every 2 to 3 weeks you should change your routine everyone has different resluts & needs different things. Even though some things may seem like a rule sometimes there are exceptions to them. But really I guess 30 day shred sounded better then 3 week shred ever other day - lol

I have to agree with vicki here...I workout 2 days in a row sometimes but never the same body part. I don't like the 30 day shred because it is the same exercises over and over and didn't want to use it consecutively. I think it is a great workout if you don't have gym access or if you need something quick...I used it to supplement my workouts before I started really lifting!

Re: 30 Day Shredders....
I was thinking of doing the 30 day shred as just an extra work out after work. I go to the gym every morning Mon-Fri and do cardio...Mon/Wed/Fri elliptical, stair machine, rowing, treadmill, etc and Tues/Thurs is spin class. Not really getting any weights or toning in at all, so I was thinking of doing the shred for that. What do you think? I am not too familiar with the weight stuff at the gym...anyone have advice?

I'd cut down on some of the cardio and start doing some lifting! The shred is good as an additional extra thing in my opinion but I don't see it as full workout, does that make sense?

Absolutely. like i said i do it as an in between to my reg gym/running workouts. I think thats what its best for. But everyone is different & if they want to use it as a jump start to working out then so be it. And then move on to bigger & better things : )

Agreed ...it's a great way to start exercising or fit in exercise if you are really in a time crunch!
