9 months later, I finally went to SS and DMV

I went to SS first and had no problem at all. I even hyphenated my name and it is not hyphenated on my marriage license. The lady at SS told me not to go to DMV because I would need my new SS card before they would allow me to change any of my info. I did not listen to her and went anyway and it was so easy, not a prob at all. I was surprised that I changed my address and they did not ask me for any proof at all!

You can do it w/o the SSN at the DMV.

They all say 'you need this' or 'you can't do it without that'. I was told at DMV I needed to get my insurance changed and have the card faxed to me and bring that. I did (which was no hassle they did it over the phone) but the girl at DMV didn't even ask for it.

Amazing huh?
