A Happy Marriage

I came across this quote from Henrik Ibsen's original draft of his 19th century play 'A Doll's House' ....

'An unhappy marriage is like smallpox - it scars the soul; a happy marriage is like a cure in the baths; it expels all peccant humours and makes all that is good and fine in a man grow and flourish.'
