a lil help from my LIWers.....

Hi Girls,
So the hubby and I are going to start to expand our house hunting options from brooklyn to LI. Now the only thing is I know NOTHING about LI...can anyone give me some advice on what neighborhoods/school districts are good in nassau county?? That is my main concern when looking.

I lived in new hyde park all my life!! its a great school district!

we are in the process of buying a house in westbury/salisbury which is the east meadow school district also really good...

other places we were looking was, bellmore, bethpage, east meadow

Yup, I'm in Bellmore, the SD is great. Merricks also really great too, North and South. Other great ones (not sure of your price range)--Roslyn, Mineola (Herricks), Albertson, NHP, Garden City, Wantagh, Jericho.

If there are any specific areas you have questions on, let me know. I feel like I know EVERY town on LI...lol

Nassau has a lot of great areas with the best schools in NY. The top schools would be Jericho and Syosset/Woodbury

You first need to decide if you want to be on the North Shore or South Shore (two completly different environments)

North Shore Schools are probably among the best in the country -- Jericho I think is ranked #2 in NYS
