Ladies I need your help. I am helping a co-worker create some baby shower invites, and we are printing the text on vellum using a laser jet printer. Some of the numbers smudged - does the print need to dry before we handle the vellum, or is it just the nature of the paper ?
TIA ! Susi

Depends on the paper. Mostly you have to let it dry, sometimes it's the paper, it never dries, alwayssmudges. I know Michaels has a vellum specifically for printing. Good Luck

Thanks ! She bout a kit that has everything needed to put together the invites. All she has to do is print them.

Susi, do you know if the kit says for printing with inkjet or laserjet? They sell two different kinds and this will usually be the determining factor if something smudges or doesn't dry etc.

Aha - I just checked the box and while it states compatible with most home and office printers, works best on laser printers or photocopiers. It smudged a bit on the laser, but we can print a couple at a time and let them dry. Can you tell I wasn't a diy-er ?

When printing on vellum, you need to let them completely dry before working with them. When I did my invites, we laid them all out on the kitchen table one night and they were dry by the morning, no smudging...
