Ok so DH's 30th birthday is Feb 21st, a Saturday. I was thinking about taking him to AC to celebrate, but it would be Sun thru Tues. I've never been to AC in the winter, nevermind on a weekday so I have no idea if this would even be worth it. Has anyone ever been there during the week in the winter? Is it going to be a total ghost town??

We went to AC last yr on that weekend (fri - sun) for DH's bday, and it happned to snow a lot on Friday, so the place was pretty dead...I would guess sun - tues it would be quiet too, but, the upside to that is that the minimums on the tables are lower! We still had a great time.

The only reason I am a little concerned is that it's the weekend AFTER Presidents' Day... so I'm afraid even less people will be there since schools are out the previous week.
We're not big partyers, so it's not like we need everything to be packed out, but I also don't want a lot of things to be closed either... I know a lot of restaurants/clubs are closed on Mondays/Tuesdays.

Hmm...I hadn't even thought about the Mon / Tues closing thing...Would you be able to go a different weekend instead? I know his bday is the 21st, but maybe you could do it the next weekend?
If there are specific restaurants / clubs you want to go to, maybe you can give them a call now and see what their hours are...

i went for my bday one year - my bday is in Feb - it was a lot of fun - not a ghost town at all.....maybe now it will be less people b/c of the economy + its winter....

The economy is definitely hurting AC (as it is to Vegas too - we just booked a trip to there for the end of Feb and got an amazing deal.) But, I'm not an incredibly huge gambler, and I've been getting tons of offers that I never would've in the past...I think they are in desperate need of having people there...

dh was there last weekend and he said it was packed. He wanted to take me there v-day weekend, well bc my bday is the day after and lisa lampanelli is performing on the 15th the day of my bday but bc of work i might not be able to go so i told him not to get the tix
would you consider that weekend if you like lisa lampanelli and seeing her perform, although for v-day their rates might be higher

I don't think restaurants close, but there may not be shows on a Monday. I personally like it better during the week when its not tooo crowded, but I've never seen it as a ghost town.
