So...this morning I had my first accident. I was on my way home from the doctors this morning in our truck and I slid on ice under the snow and smashed into a bank/tree stump. Its happened so fast I didnt have time to do anything to try and prevent it....
I was SO aftraid to call DH...but he was ok about it..he asked if I was ok and at the time I didnt feel anything, so I said yea. I wasnt far from home so I told him he needed to get there asap because the truck was stuck from one end of the road to the other and nobody could pass...and if they came around the curve they'd hit into me. Someone got there before DH did and helped push the truck out of the ditch for me...it was running but I could barely back it up.
At this point, my knee is thumping so I take a look and its swelled twice its size and my head is POUNDING! I ended up having to go to the hospital with a concusion...I cant drive...and I jarred my knee real bad. Im pretty sure the truck will be totaled too....
What a day..... :o((

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! It actually turns out I hurt myself more than I thought I did. The day of...I only hurt my head and my knee. The next morning about 3am on friday I woke up in tears. I couldnt move my neck/shoulder.
I had to get up the next morning and pack for a trip I was taking to Ohio, so I stopped into the ER on my way. They did x-rays and it turns out I pulled my trapezius muscle from my neck to my shoulder. I couldnt believe the pain I was in and I didnt feel it AT ALL till the next morning!
So they ended up giving me 3 shots, 2 of which were narcotics. Within 10 mins, I was completely out of it...my world was spinning. I felt completely drunk! They had to call DH to come and pick me up, I couldnt even walk. About a 1/2 hour into our trip I started throwing up everywhere...and this continued the whole trip...every 15 mins. I cannot believe the reaction my body took to those pain meds...it was HORRIBLE. DH didnt know what to do. Eventually it lessened as the meds went out of my system....but WOW, it was like I had food poisoning but didnt.
They had given me a script of the same narcotics they gave me in the hospital and i refuse to take them. Id rather be in pain than go through that again. Now its just me and my muscle relaxers..

I'm the SAME way with any narcotic painkillers. I get SO SO SO violently sick from them. I can't even take 200mg of Vicodin or anything at all!! I hope you start to feel better Thank God you're ok, and not majorly injured.

i had that reaction the first time i took vicodin, the second time total opposite the dr said sometimes the body just has to get used to it , i know it was terrible but if u r in pain you may wantto try it again maybe half the pill
