Acting school??

Do any of you know of any good acting schools in the city??

What are you looking for? 2 years? 4 years? Just classes? Is there a certain method you are interested in? Meisner, Stanislavsky?

Im thinking just classes. Id like to take like 2 classes a week at a reputable place. But I dont want to audition to get in since I dont really have any experience yet!

Ill FM her! I hope so too. Since the music thing is kinda at a stand-still Im trying to keep myself busy with other things.

school for film and television. You can take individual classes or get a degree.

For a beginner I would recommend HB Studio if you don't want to blow a lot of money. All the teachers are working actors. Beginners classes don't require auditions. If you are seriously thinking of pursuing a career as an actor, you should then move on to any of the professional programs at Stella Adler, Michael Howard or American Academy of Dramatic Arts so you can get well rounded training.

Thank you so much for the info. My cousin also told me about HB studios and Im going this week to look into it.

I agree, 'The School for Film and Television' is great! I took a couple classes there a few years back. They have great teachers (working in the field), you can build great connections & they also offer a lot of great workshops ect.
