Additional Thank You's.... how much??

OK- so in our original contract with Photog, we only ordered 65 TY's, b/c HE told me it would be enough if we only have 110 people coming... WELL, it's WAYAAAAAA not enough!! we need 100. Most of the people who said 'no' still sent gifts, so we want to send them the photo TY's...

sooooooooo to get the extra 35 TY's, it's $3 each

Is that NORMAL?? or CRAZY expensive??

has anyone else been charged THIS much for extra TY's?

Same thing with our photographer. What's frustrating about it is that when we signed the contract, he asked how man we want-- 100, 125, 150? At the time, the TY amount had nothing to do with the price. It was just part of the package. I picked 100, but I could have said 150, and the price would have been the same. Now that we are about 25 short, the paperwork we were given with our proofs says that additional TYs are 3.00 a piece. So, back when I was signing the contract, it wouldn't have been cost-prohibitive forthem to throw in 25 more, but now it is. It's ridiculous.

That's NUTS!!! My photographer included as many as you need---whether it was wallets or 4x5 cards........$3 is crazy........

I figured 65 woudl be enough... but again, like you said... I had NO idea... I COULD have said 100... and it would have been the SAME price...

I told my photographer that the owner said we could add more if needed, which he did. So they waived the $3 fee for the 25 additional- I thought that was very sweet.

We paid $3 each extra as well. But we only needed 10.

Yeah I just took one of my photographer's pics and uploaded it.

Yet another reason why i am glad I went all digital.

Everything we ordered was ala carte & thank you pictures were $2, so your price is not too crazy.

We didn't have a package deal, so our were $1.50 each. But Dh is really good friends with the photographer, so we got a discounted price on the pictures.

Ours would have been $3 as well. We opted not to do our TY's with them or could decide later on if we wanted to get them. We ended up doing ours online for way much cheaper

I think that's a lot for TY's! I mean you could get a gorgeous linen card for that much from Phot Card Creations. Geesh, the wedding spending never ends!

Im in the same boat they told me 65 but I too need a 100 and my contract says $ 2 for TY's.

WOW, thanks for posting this I just picked mine up and the owner was reading mine over and i had said 85, now I know I'll need more, so while looking over his daughter's shoulder, he said, 'if she wants extra TYs later, let her have them'...we'll see, had I known what i just found out, i would said immediately put me down for an extra 50!!

keeping fingers crossed he'll keep his word, but has about everything else thus far
