Addressing Envelope to an Attorney

I thought I would ask the professionals this question and get their advise.

I know this is an early question to ask but I am creating my list and I got to my bosses and I have a question. I work attorneys so I have a few questions about addressing their envelope.

My boss is an attorney and his wife hyphanets (sp?) her last name. Should I write out their envelope:
Mr & Mrs John Smith, Esq.
or
Mr John Smith, Esq.
Mrs. Ann Johnson-Smith

Also, what about an attorney whose wife does not hyphanet (sp?) her last name? Do I write it out:
Mr & Mrs John Smith, Esq.
or
Mr & Mrs John Smith

Thanks for your help on this.

Re: Addressing Envelope to an Attorney

I work for a law firm for 4 1/2 years. If you address an envelope or anything to an attorney (either man or woman) you only need the Esq. or Esquire thus the Mr. or Ms. drops. Example:

John Doe, Esq.
or
John Doe, Esquire

Jane Doe, Esq.
or
Jane Doe, Esquire

The Mr. or Ms. or Mrs. is dropped.
