Addressing Thank You's

Addressing Thank You's

I'm trying to be a bit proactive and start preparing my labels for my thank you's. I'm expecting to receive them in the next 2 weeks, so I'd like to get start asap.

I was wondering how to address the thank you to single guests who came with a date, (some of which I don't even know the dates name). Do I just address it (inside and out) to our friend, do I put and guest? seems weird for a thank you, no?

Help!! Thanks girls! I know I can always depend you you

I just addressed it to the people I invited, not their date. Unless its a boyfriend and girlfriend who live together, I would just address it to the person you invited. I hope thats right!

I addressed it to my friend only, but inside the actual card I believe I wrote both of their names.

Good for you for being proactive!

That's what I did.

As far as the inside goes...it's definitely hard if your friend brought someone you didn't know or even if it was a guest of a friend of your DH.

In those situations I went back to their card and looked to see if they wrote their guests name. If they did I wrote it in the inside and if they didn't I just thanked my friend . Too confusing!

Good luck!

For the outside you can just put the invited guest, but for the inside I would put both. I had saved all the cards I was given so I could thank each person that was named in the card. Before we were married it bugged me when only DH was named in TY's..

I addressed the envelopes and wrote inside the TY cards, the same names that they signed in the wedding cards.
