Advice anyone? 13 months since wedding & still no video!

We were very excited to use Wild Rose Video or our wedding on 10/17/09 and the day of went amazing! However, it's now 13 months since my wedding & 10 months since they guaranteed we'd have our video & still we have nothing. They did throw in a free video trailer in the beginning but that was b/c they were late getting us our raw footage.
It took 5 phone calls & multiple emails to even get a response only to be told, 'we're backed up & haven't even started on it yet' & that we would hear from them in a few weeks. Well that few weeks is NOW & again I have received no reply from my email following up.
Not only are we frustrated at the lack of communication & responsiveness, but if it only takes 2 weeks to rush/complete a video then why did we have to wait 10 months to begin with?!

We would've never thought Wild Rose Video would end up being like this. They are a husband & wife duo that make you feel very comfortable when you meet them...except it seems when you actually expect to get the product you paid in full for 10 months prior.

What do we do????

First of all, i'm so so sorry you're dealing with that ... it's extremely frustrating.

I'd call them and give them two options:
1) refund all your money but give you the un-edited stuff so that you could pay somebody else to edit it.
2) give you the edited video within four weeks. If they don't get it done by then, take legal action and take them to small claims court.

One note - you should call them and say these things and then follow it up with an email that says 'as discussed earlier on the phone ....' with all the details so there's no confusion anymore. That way, you have it all in writing in case you need to take them to court.
