Albums

So DH and I are making our own albums .... but they're soooo freakin' expensive!

The flush-mount books (with the awesomely thick pages) START at $350 and that's for just 20 pages! (plus $10 per additional page!)

The regular books with lay flat pages start at about $150 for 20 pages (plus $2 per extra page)

Is it really worth it to spend the extra $200-ish for the flush mount pages?

i don't want to waste money on something useless ... but i also don't want to buy something crappy.

this is the problem i am having too. i wanted to do them myself and save SOME money. but for what its worth, this is something you will have for the rest of your life. i want it to be great quality and LAST.

i am going to do parent albums a little simpler than first expected, mostly b/c all my parents want is pictures of DH and i with them, and some sibling pictures. so we are going to trim down on that so we can spend more on our own. i'm actually going to have my photog do ours now b/c i don't just want the hassel of doing it myself anymore. with the baby and LIFE its just too much work!!!

after all that CRAP, i think its worth getting the flush mount pages. JMO.

lol i totally understand .... but i still feel like that's an insane amount for a photo album ... i guess i never realized they were quite so expensive!

i felt the same way once i started looking up prices. that's why i've decided to save on the parents and use the money for our album and maybe wait a little longer to save up for the extra $.
