Albums and B&W's

For those that have already designed their albums..... Did you have a combination of B&W and color photos in the album? Our photographer put together there first version of our album and they used all color. Some of my favorite pictures are B&W (specifically because they are B&W). I was wondering if people don't usually put B&W's in their albums??

Do you try to put all color or all B&W on pages facing eachother?? I should probably call our photographer and talk to them, but that seems like such a chore for some reason

When I asked Luke what photos we should include in the video he thoughtfully replied 'You know I dont care'.

Stef after reading your post, I get the same feeling

Roger is the same way, he came along just for the ride. When we were shopping for photographers he said, why can't we just get a person to take some pictures why do we have to interview etc, etc can you believe that??? Men gotta love them

Al was probably more involved with the photos than anything else. He's a creative type, so he had very definitive ideas on what he liked and didn't like for our album.

Fortunately, we have very similiar tastes in that area. And putting our electronic album together was tons of fun.

My DH couldn't care less about the album either! he's of no help to me, but I don't care - I'm very anal about what goes where anyway.

I'm going to mix my B&Ws with color pics. There may be 1-2 composites that are all in B&W, but I didn't plan it that way.

Lisa - how did you put together your electronic album? Just by scanning in your proofs and editing?

Teri-

We scanned in the proofs we wanted in the album and got a copy of all the mats that were available for our album. Working in Photoshop and Powerpoint, we put it all together and then gave it to our photographer.

The final doc is powerpoint, and I saved it as a pdf which I've emailed/showed family & friends so they can share in the experience.

thanks - we put on some music, opened a bottle of wine and went to it. Took a few hours, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

forgot to mention, we laid out all the pictures on the floor and put them in order and the composites together before starting on the computer.

Now I want to see the real thing!
