All you vacationer ladies...

got me going crazy trying to plan a vacation for myself and DH!!! Nothing anniversary related... Just going away to get away

Thinking about cheapin out and going to an AI in DR? Anyone have any advice/tips/other vacation suggestions etc?

I think DH and I are going to do the same in July. We checked out a few of the all-inclusives in DR for a week and it was like $2k including airfare!!!

We went to an AI in Puerto Plata, DR in December 2008, it was called Blue Bay Villa Doradas - it was great, esp for the $$Blue Bay Villa Dorada

cabo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we stayed at the RIU palace! soo amazing and the weather is always perfect!

we're probably doing a cruise this year but i hear PR and DR are very inexpensive

We are doing a 5 day cruise to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick! I know, I know ... that's not a trip for everyone ... but it's SOOOOO cheap and so convenient and we are really excited!

DR is a great inexpensive vacation. DH and I went there when I graduated from college. it was so much fun...def climb the waterfalls I forget what they are called but it was so cool and you get to jump off them...we still have video of that.

Im going to London in 14 days!!! it ended up being 1700 for airfare but we have a place to stay for free!!!

We may do Cancun instead... I actually had a former boss tell me not to go to an AI bc they are filled with kids! I guess maybe go for an 'adults' AI instead .... but doesnt that usually mean couples... we have some single friends who want to go as well

We went to EPM for our HM and yes it was mostly couples but there were some groups of women there also. EPM has a very romantic feel, not sure about other adult only AI's.

ETA: Cancun is awesome because you can go bar hopping on the strip!!

My boss just got back from the Iberostar Grand in the DR. He said it was absolutely AMAZING!!! Adults only - but there were some non-couple singles there.

He said it was super cheap too.
