allergy question...

hey girls..
since my allergies seem to be getting worse the doctor has me on bendryl every 4-6 hours, singulair, and atrovent. I already took the max 50mg of benedryl at around 9:30 ...

here's my problem.. they are totally redoing the bathroom and another room in my house and i had to walk through the hall to show the guy where to shut the water off and the dust totally got me. now i feel short of breath and my eyes are itching. my doctor isnt in... is there anything else i can do to ease this horrible feeling??? i took my atrovent pump.. so i should be ok soon i'm hoping...but the dust is just really getting to me and i have no place to go wat should i do??? My eyes are really irritated ... but i have no visine or anything else to help that.

sorry i'm a little hypersensitive with everything lately... they had to give me a bendryl injection and epinephrine(sp?) the other night. I don't think they gave me the epp shot cause my airways were closed or anything like that...but i get nervous now that my allergies are getting so much worse and i worry about not being able to breathe well. I'm very anxious with all my medical issues right now!! thanks for letting me rant..lol

Krystal, I can identify with you on the allergies/breathing issues. I think you should address this recent episode/symptoms with the dust, with your Dr.; He might want to change your meds, to more effective ones. Can you open a window, or put on a bathroom fan to draw the dust out? Also, you can get face masks at the drug store, to keep the dust out; My Husband, who's in construction, uses them, so he doesn't breathe in dust. I also take Benadryl for my allergies, but nothing else. In the meantime, praying for you, sweetie!!!!! Mary MOB

thanks girls. The bendryl finally made me sleepy enough to take a nap upstairs by my grandmother. I'm back downstairs and my eyes are itching like crazy.. so i took another one..and i'm hoping it kicks in. I called the allergist for an appointment today..but the computers were down and they told me to try back next week!! figures..lol. what happened to good old faishoned writing it down... ha ha ha!!!
if it gets worse i'll call my doctor..but for now have the hepa filter going and the window open even though it's freezing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
