...but there hasn't been one in a while, and its been bothering me, and I'm a snob so I'll say it...Do all the 'crashing' posts bother you? They do bother me...that's what BHB is for, so that we can answer questions...this board is called 'For Newlyweds Only' for a reason.
I don't mind the occasional crashing post, since I did it (although I never started a topic) but it seems there's been an influx lately.
Am I the only snob??

Glad I'm not the only one...and honestly, I don't really find it to be snobby but usually if you're self deprecating it avoids drama.
Then again, we aren't very dramatic here...I've been poorly re-trained by LIF

I thought it was just me that got annoyed by them since they do get answers here. So I figured I wouldn't say anything and ruffle any feathers.

i havent even noticed them so i guess they dont bother me. i dont even go onto BHB anymore so I am no help to these girls

it drives me nucking futs!i've said it several times... and even on FB some of us talk about it.
not for nothing, I NEVER went onto the NW board until I was a NW.... the only time i looked at it was when someone posted something about it on the 2010 board.
i think if the 2011'ers dont stop crashing we should start crashing theirs!
and whenever i see 'crashing' all i picture is meteorite holes!

It doesn't bother me since they are genuinely asking for advice and not just posting weird random things. Yeah, that's what BHB is for and I do try and respond to posts over there but a lot of NWs stick on this board and this board alone so I can see why they'd want to come here and get advice.

I go by the rules of when I joined this site and how mean the NW's were if you were to crash their board when you didn't belong, I see it as these girls are lucky that they haven't been ripped apart for it yet

ITA, we're mostly here, I never look on BHB for good reason.

I always thought that only NW's posted here. the only time I crashed this board was right before I got married and said how excited i was to come over soon.I have noticed that there are alot of crashing here. Sometimes it bothers me other times it doesnt. I guess it depends on whats posted.

I have to agree. I like the 2011 girls, but when I wasn't married yet, I felt like I wasn't allowed to post on this board, so I never did.
Sometimes this board is slow though, so the occasional post doesn't bother me, but yeah, it's a little weird.

If there were any questions from the 2010 ers we would crash the 2009 board...not the newlywed. I know the 2010 is basically empty but I check that board more than I check BHB.

I never thought posting on the NW board was appropriate until one was a NW.....I know some girls have FM'd questions regarding my wedding and that doesn't bother me at all. However, crashing the NW I think is a bit too much. They should keep it to the BHB board

It bothers me and it doesn't. I don't mind helping but it IS the NW board BUT at the same time I'm not a 2011 and I post on their boards sometimes (like Jill said). I never start a new topic though but sometimes I'll say something to encourage them or give some advice when it's slow here. But sometimes it's annoying to see 'CRASHING - Limo recommend'. That's for the BHB board or vendor helping bride or even their board. Our weddings are done and while it's sad, I don't remember what I was quoted for with my vendors, it was almost a year ago that I was done booking them!
