Am I nutty????

I have not yet had the chance to bring in my wedding gown to be preserved, it's been laying in our spare bedroom for 3 weeks. So the other night I went in the spare room for something and I decided to play dress up. I walk into the living room in full bride gear, veil, headpiece, etc. where DH is watching TV, he looks up and says you're nuts, the wedding is over I explained I know this but I saw the dress, it's going to be preserved soon, and then I'll NEVER wear it again, so why can't I play for a while?????

So I proceeded to say I'm sure I'm not the only bride who has done this. I told DH I would ask my LIW gals if I am nutty. So my question is, am I???? Have any of you done this????

I didn't have my gown preserved until a year after my wedding. I put it on again around my 1 year anniversary and loved it. Guys don't get it!

I have done it numerous times. My dress is in my old room at my moms house. I look at it every time I go over and if I am in a really good mood, I'll try it on. It is actually a great feeling trying it on because It is really big on me, I llost a lot of weight since the wedding!!

i tried to a few months after the wedding, but i was all alone and couldn't get it on by myself

but i keep my tiara on my dresser, and i put that on every now and again...and pretend i'm going to go out in it

so, no, you're not the least bit crazy!!!!

Not nutty.

I wish I could put my dress back on. My mother wisked it away faster than a newborn being put up for adoption the day after the wedding. I came back from my HM to find out she had it preserved for me. I was actually thinking of putting it on ebay. DH thinks I'm nutty for that. go figure.

I am in the same nutty boat and the sad thing is that my husbands parents own three Laundromats and a dry cleaner. I have no excuse. I am just so out of it I have post wedding syndrome.

Didn't have mine preserved right away. Never put mine on again and never want to but I hated my dress.

No I don't think you are nutty if I liked my dress I might actually had done that too!

Well...mine is still hanging in my closet...so I might throw it on any day now!

I do have to get it cleaned soon though...it has a blueberry stain on the lace of the hem but I figure it's their job to get that out right?



gotta play dress up a little!

My mom got my dress cleaned for me so I can't put it on, but I like to clean the house wearing my tiara. So, you're not alone! DH thinks I'm nuts too.
