I'm too lazy to go to all these offices and wait in line! How long did you guys wait to change everything???

If you are, then so am I! I acutally am finally getting off my a$$ to Soc Sec office tomorrow am.

I went to DMV & SS about 3 months after we were marriend, but I have a friend who has been married over a year and still hasn't gone to SS.

I was eager to change my name so that's why I did it pretty much right away. I went to SS the day we got back from our HM, and I wasn't in there very long. I went just before they closed and was out right away.

As for the DMV I made the mistake of going at lunch time Monday, July 3 when everyone was off and was there for about 2 hours!!

But I'm glad I got it over with already!!

I made my changes with SS and the DMV about two weeks ago and I did not wait on any lines! I was there when the offices opened and it was smooth sailing through the whole process. Got my new SS card last week and my new license yesterday, which I might add is a new design and looks like a Florida State license

Yeah I got my new license in the mail yesterday too. I can't decide if I like the new one. It is ok. I like the blueish tint.

I was very lazy.It took me about six months. i really love my husband but his last name i could do without-lol
So its safe to say that it took me a while(6 months). I think i only did it because my girlfriend who got married a couple of months after me had done it as soon as she got back from her honeymoon and i felt that i had to.

I just did my name changes a few weeks ago. DMV was the worst wait.

i still havent changed anything! im very lazy when it comes to running around and waiting in line all day.

i just did it a few weeks ago, and DH was pissed that i waited that long... the bozo took it personally...

so far i only did SS, DMV, bank and major Credit card...

I haven't done my license or SS. Mainly b/c I don't have time. My work isn't leinent with those things, so I have to wait til someone is on vacation before I can do it.

I did change my CC's and (hehe) our joint bank account, but, I haven't gotten a new debit card yet b/c I am too lazy to wait at Commerce for one. Oh and I changed the utilities b/c we moved (another reason I didn't change my license, we were renting an apartment we knew we'd leave until June 1st.

And I haven't ordered new checks either. My mom was laughing that I am signing checks 'Kathryn Linton Devine' so that there isn't any confusion because the checks say Kathryn Linton and my name is Kathryn Devine.

Oh and I go by Kate, my DH's step mom does too, so, she and I are both Kate Devine. And DH is a junior, so if his father was still alive both couples would be Chris & Kate Devine!

I started but am lazy finishing. I went to Social Security because it's not too far from my house and it only took 5 minutes to do it. I am dreading going to dmv so i have been putting that off. And I have lots of phone calls I have been lazy about !
