Annoyed at my MIL!

I am so annoyed. I think I just need to vent.......................
For the past few months she has had put about 15 pics of my BIL and FSIL and has had only 2 pics of us out. Okay not too strange, huh? It looks like a shrine.....Well , she now says it is becuase her family is coming over for the first time for Chanukkah. Well, what are we? people tossed to the side! and to top it all off, my family has always included her in everything - family gatherings etc. They always made her feel welcome and included her. she has never had my family over to her house. She knows how to stay here eat me out of house and home and make a mess of my house..... When she goes to our family things she says she is a guest and does not even pick up a dish to help. Am I being unreasonable here? I am not jealous in the least, I was so excited for them the next day I ran out and gave her and him an e ngagement gift, etc. his brother is getting married, I am thrilled for them and cannot wait till there wedding, and to be able to enjoy going to a wedding that is not my own and being pulled and dragged every where. What do I do, just say nothing and get more mad ? thanks for letting me vent..........

Sue, get yourself so upset just remembewr who you are dealing with! Hasn't she always favored your BIL??? But of course I love how she'll sponge off of her other son ALL the time & not her favorite son.

Has Alex stopoped her from staying over all the time?

I DON'T THINK YOU ARE OVER THE TOP AT ALL. I'M NOT TOO CRAZY ABOUT MY MIL EITHER BCUZ OF STUPID SH!T SHE PULLS. I WOULD TELL DH AND LET HIM TALK TO HER ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS. IT ALWAYS SOUNDS BETTER COMING FROM THEM THAN YOU. THAT WILL ALSO SHOW HER THAT HE IS BOTHERED BCUZ YOU ARE BOTHERED AND MAYBE THAT WILL HELP HER SEE 'THE LIGHT'. GOOD LUCK AND LET US KNOW HOW IT WENT IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO.

I agree it definately should come from DH not you! Maybe for the holidays you can give her a framed pic of the 2 of you. Hint Hint

My MIL has pictures of my SIL and a couple of cousins around the house but do you know NO pictures of my husband or my husband and myself. Not only do they have a dozen or so pictures of my sil around the house but she is a dancer with brown hair and all of the artwork in the house has a dancer with brown hair in it.....We gave them a picture frame for the wedding to put in a picture of the two of us..i think that is the best way to solve the problem...give her picture frames with pictures for her to display. It hurts though, trust me I know.
