Another Duet Question

I've been seriously contemplating using Duet for our wedding photography/videography. However, in the last few weeks, i've noticed that alot of the pictures that brides have been posting look very grainy. Is it just because they are scanned/low res. images? Do the actual photographs look sharper in person? TIA!

The proofs are probably very sharp in person. The grainy photos are probably due to the quality of the scanner, the resolution that they were scanned in and sometimes Shutterfly just makes things look blurry.

Your best bet is to see someone's proofs from Duet in person, and Duet should be able to hand you a stack of someone's wedding proofs that they recently did for you to look at. I know when we were looking for a photographer, they all did that if I asked.

it probably is just from the scanner.. We got our proofs back from them and absolutely love them! They came out great!!

I scanned mine, and they are definitely more granular online--very crisp and clear looking in person. I got copies made of the scanned images and they look awful, but I don't have a great scanner.

My Duet proofs in person are super-sharp and perfect. When viewing them online, they look horrible (because my scanner stinks)

I should put a disclaimer on the proofs I posted on these boards, because I scanned them in myself at home and they came so bad .. cloudy and spotty and dark (I just wanted to post some so the brides who were asking could see them on LIWs, but truly the quality is poor)

So if you ever see my proofs online, they do the real proofs no justice.

No need to worry about the actual proofs, they are fantastic
