When at the age of 5 while on vacation in the Dominican Republic I ran across the road (composed of all rocks, it had not been paved yet!) and fell. My knee landed on a sharp rock and it went through to the bone. I needed internal and external stiches and at that time in DR they didn't use anesthesia!!!! I had 5 people holding me down while they cleaned the wound and stiched me up. Horrible.

Then, THE DAY AFTER I had my stiches removed, I tripped on a log and reopened the wound and needed more stitches again! Needless to say, I have a ugly scar (although it's not big) on my knee.
