Another wedding theme ?

I was told my cousin's wedding is an art deco theme. I am ashamed to say, but I was like HUH? what IS THAT? I've heard the term but have NO idea what that is or looks like. I've kind of volunteered my services to help out with some of the little details - & am attempting to do petal cones & cry packs for my cousin. Has anyone had this for a theme or knows of someone who did & can post some pics to give me some ideas please? HEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!

hmm a little hard to describe. bit like a mid century... maybe more like 20's ish style.
very clean lines too. there's lots of like Miami hotels decorated in an art deco style.

im going to google some images for you.

ok... now i know i posted a bathroom pic and some hotels... etc... but just so you get an idea of what art deco really is. its hard to see it with just wedding pics of the style.

basically everything can be looked at as art. also things are very symmetrical. think lots of whites and clean looking... but with pops of color and an almost youthful fun element as well. 1920's glamorous but yet very artsy.

PS and for some reason... funky chairs also pop into my head when i think of art deco too!!

Kerri pretty much covered it perfectly, also the Chrysler Building in NYC is a great example of art deco.

it's art as decor.
I'm like a decorating freak.... and i have an hgtv addiction. im on the wrong profession and i kick myself daily for it!! haha!!!

i can't wait for March either!! haha!

OOO yes VERY! I went to a wedding there a few years ago and I all I kept thinking was this place is so art deco, I loved it.
