We are looking to get away to somewhere warm and sunny for a few days over the next holiday break..but we don't want to spend more that 750 per person or 1500 per couple. Any ideas of all inclusives? Mexico?

I checked those out...they look awesome but about a couple hundred bucks per person out of our price range
Plus DH wants golf near by...
I think we are going to go with Grand Princess Riviera Maya All Suite and Spa ...its all inclusive, within our price range and near a golf course..

Did you check Moon Palace in Cancun? Its right outside of Cancun and has an amazing golf course.

Are Cancun and Riviera Maya the same? DH is adamant about no Cancun (I don't really want to go to Cancun either) but we got a great deal for a hotel on Riviera Maya

Re: any ideas??
riviera maya is about 30-45 min from cancun...its nicer and quiet and you can visit the chichen itza, tulum or coba. Loved coba cause you can actually climb to the top. Also recommend xcaret which is a waterpark.

That is where we went on our HM. We went to Tulum and Chichen Itza. Tulum was beautiful but Chichen Itza (IMO) was a waste of a day if you are only going to be there for 7 days. If your trip is longer then I would say take the day and do it.
Also, Playa del Carmen is 15 mins from Rivera Maya. In Playa there is a TON of shopping and you can also catch the ferry to the island of Cozumel.
