And I'm too far away for a GTG, but I had to chime in

a friend of mine bought me a beautiful scrapbook as part of my shower gift. I would love some ideas too!

Well, I've saved all the cards I got from my wedding and shower. Come of them will make nice embellishments for scrapbook pages. I'll crop them smaller, probably. I also pressed some flowers and hope to use them in pages, though they are not easy to work with.

Good ideas! Anyone else? I think I want to devote a scrapbook to different creative elements of the wedding planning process, like a page devoted to our flowers and I would include photos that I had clipped to show the florist, notes I had taken, postings on LIW.com! and then photos of the actual flowers. What do you think? Has anyone else done that and could post an example?

I threw out all of the wedding cards. we just don't have the room for them. I did save SOME of the RSVP's that we got. you know, the one's with the nice messages.

So far, this is what I have thought about for the scarpbook:

1. a saved receipt from dinner the night we got engaged. the waitress wrote congratulations on it.
2. a wedding invite
3. a menu from the wedding
4. our picture thank you card
5. labels from the OOT bags:

6. an OSU garter I bought to surprise DH (his absolute FAVORITE college football team)
7. when my seamstress hemmed my dress, she gave me what she cut off, so I have that.
8. a card from the President congratulating us
9. a TON of pics I have made copies of. although I have a proof album, so I don't know if I would put more than a few favorites in a scrapbook

that's all I can think of right now

AnnMarie I LOVE your scrapbook! you gave me some ideas! but I guess I have to wait until Fall to buy silk leaves and other Fall-related items. I saw gorgeous Fall paper at AC Moore, I know they sell that all the time.

If you want, I have some green leaves (silk I think) that you can have. I'm coming upthe NY next month and making a visit to CA. Let me know and I'll put them on the side (ooopps... gotta make sure I didn't throw them out already!!)

don't worry about the green leaves if you threw them out. I would probably only use orange/brown/reds/yellow, etc. but you are so sweet to offer!

I have been scrapbooking for a while.. I have not got to my wedding ones yet but I have done our engagement, dress shopping and my bridal shower..
Still waiting for everyones doubles..

Sure! Why not? I personally don't like any of the pics of me in the 'other' dresses I didn't scrap my bridal shower or any wedding details, just the actual day.

Dress shopping--that must be a fun scrapbook topic.......I was considering saving a picture of the dress that was my 2nd choice. Should I? To me it's interesting how different the 2 dresses are!!!

Well i tried on a few.. found the one quick but we made it like a photo shoot.. so the pictures are funny..
my shower i had a bout a million and my bachelorette party..
I will be doing the wedding ones when i have a free moment on maternity leave...
