Any State Workers here?

not a state worker- but its just the economy- and most companies are not giving raises and some are doing paycuts- hopefully it will be better for all of us next year!

I work for the state, and I was looking forward to the raise we would be getting in April. =(

I guess I just have to keep an eye out for the exams and take every single grade higher than my own grade , until I find something. I just love my job, I love where I work and the people so it would be hard to give that up for a few more dollars, but right now I need it. =/

I guess we will see what happens. :(

unfortunately it's just the economy right now they cut all raise reviews and bonus' for my company nationwide for 2009 & it totally stinks... but it is what it is - we just have to hope that it gets better sooner rather than later!

yes he is a tool i agree.

but i thought we were getting our raises?? I thought the only raise he was allowed to take away was mangement and non-union employees??

now I have to go back and check my email from the head of our administration that he sent out today- it had attached gov' pattersons letter.

I know and they are looking to cut people as well..
