Any1 ever get a thank u card....

that was pre-printed so the couple didn't hand write ANYTHING on the card at all?

No never. I think that's might be worse than not getting one at all! It should at least be signed by the bride and groom IMO.

yep - i got a christening card thank you with a label on the inside saying thank you for sharing the day, etc.

i thought it was VERY inappropriate.

I have gotten those before and I agree it would have been nice if they wrote something personal cause I would

but I also have friends that never sent out any thank you note and that is far more insulting imo.

at least they sent something- its the thought that counts!

I've been to a christening where they handed out the thank you card at the end along with the favors - how rude is that?

Well I guess I'll be rude....because the other day I just made Thank You/Christmas Cards on Kodak Gallery.

1 - I'm broke and can't afford to spend crazy money on Thank You cards.

2 - I hated writing out my engagement gift Thank You's and my shower Thank You's. I hate my handwriting, so I told myself that I WAS NOT writing out 200 Thank You's for the wedding.

Call me rude, I don't care. I totally admit that I am completely lazy and have 0% interest in writing out every Thank You card.

Depending on how much room I have on the card....I might be able to write something nice for the SPECIAL people in our lives (parents, siblings, grandparents....etc....)

While I can totally understand that not everyone has the time or will to write out a ton of TY cards, honestly the guests took way MORE time to come to go to their wedding and most probably gave a gift, etc. The least they could have done was to hand write something in addition to the pre-printed message. Sorry, my opinion, but they have to know that many of their guests will not be happy to get that TY card. Either that, or they're clueless.

YuP! a friend of mine had EVERYTHING printed...they didn't write our names in the car, & even the 'With Love, ____&____' was printed. Honestly, stuff like this doesn't bother me..everyone is different i guess. I however WANTED to handwrite everything & make it personal, because when I DO get something handwritten there's something about it that just makes me feel a little more special/'touched'

Thats how my Thank yous are, I don't understand why its 'rude' its a preference and i still sent out something where some brides of weddings I attended didnt even send out anything.

For the OOT guests I did right something on the back of our card and for our immediate family. I got a lot of compliments on them as well.

no I havn't. Not that i recall. I'd think it would be rude if they didn't at least sign their names. But hand written thank you's are the most proper.

agreed. it takes less than a minute to sign your name. LOL.

I have and I definitely noticed. Its better then getting no card at all, but I would never say anything about it, I just would not send a pre printed thank you card.

I don't think anyone enjoys writing thank you cards out, but if someone comes to your wedding/ bapitsm ect and gives a gift it is a nice gesture to hand write a card , even if you have to do them in batches , JMO
