Okay - so DH is ALWAYS making jokes about how even tho we're a married couple now, I STILL have to lock him out of the bathroom. Like if I'm on the toilet - that's gross, i ALWAYS have to lock the door. But it's also if I'mjust in the shower. I don't know. The bathroom is just one place that I need complete privacy. It's not as though he's never seen me without clothes on - but it's just something about being in the shower. It's forbidden! lol. Not sure why that is.
Just wondering if anybody else has this same issue. It's not really even an issue for us though, he just always makes fun of me when I lock the door. We always joke about me getting tight bult for it, just in case! I know he wants us to take a shower together sometimes and I'd probably be okay with it if we're not actually doing it to get get 'clean' But if I'm like washing my hair and shaving my armpits - then, no. I need my space.
Anybody else? Or am I the only freak of nature

I can't lock him out because our bathroom has no lock. He walks in and out when I'm in the shower and I do the same. We try to give each other our own privacy when we're doing other things in the bathroom but we do only have one bathroom

when i shower after work, DH actually usually comes in and sits and talks with me. it is my time to decompress and i like having him there to just talk about our days. it's actually my favorite part of the day. :)
as far as going to the bathroom...we try to give each other our own privacy!

NEVER the toilet. On a few occasions, if one of us runs out of TP and the other opens the door enough to shove a hand in and fling the roll in at the other LOL
For shower, we have gone in to tell the other something or to get something, but it's rare.
I agree bathroom time is alone time!

i lock him out sometimes b/c he thinks it is so funny to fill up a cup with ice cold water and sneak in and dump it over the shower...it is the worst feeling ever...and he deserves to be locked out for that...sometimes he will join me...and i also will come sit on the sink when he is in the shower and talk....as for our before bed routine he gives me my time to face wash, lotion, etc... and goes tell me when your done...and then he comes up to brush his teeth lol he respects my space

DH comes in on my ALL the time. Sometimes he'll give me privacy when I'm pooping... so if he hears me lock the door, SOMETIMES he wont try and bother me. Sometimes he does just to be a nudge.

Bathroom time is private time! LOL I told Dh this at the very beginning. I think shower time is private time too. I like to take super HOT showers and relax..he knows not to bother me if I'm the bathroom for anything and he's learned to live with it.

pooping is private - anything else is no biggie - pee with the door open but i always have done that even when i lived at home (unless my dad was home of course!) i'm a pig

the funny thing is that he's fine with it, it's just me who's not. Like he won't even close the door when he's in there, let alone LOCK it. lol. He respects my privacy though. We take turns brushing teeth & such before bed, and he won't ever complain about getting in (even though it IS the only bathroom in our little house) while i'm in the shower or whatever. Oh well. This may be something that i'll never be able to change

We're the total opposite LOL! I never lock the bathroom door and DH always does! I can never sneak in and join him in the shower b/c he locks me out!!! It drives me nuts LOL!

us too! he has this whole loooong routine before and after his shower sometimes, so i leave him alone. He doesn't mind if i come in while he's showering. We're gross, we leave the door open most of the time and often make jokes at the one on the toilet! Although he closes the door more than i do!

Our door is always open - unless there is pooping going on lol!
I mean DH doesn't come in and stare at me showering but he will talk to me or shave sometimes - I don't mind! We get ready for bed together - brush teeth, etc.
I do think its ok to have your private time though - so don't feel bad about it!

Nope that is 100% private time I dont even go in there when he is just smoking a cigarette. We have a tiny apartment and just one bathroom - I think respect and privacy go a long way. I am also big on keeping the mystery alive, it is something I got from my mother ( I never even saw her in her PJs ) and will always practice.

I never lock the door and DH could care less who is in the bathroom with him, he feels you will suffer with the smell I walked in on him once just recently and I was more embarrassed then him We shower together, and would take a bath together if we had a tub (but I have learned to watch my toes (skin rubs off easily when wet ) I want to be alone when using the bathroom but DH had to take me after the surgery. The meds made me so dizzy it was like crutching drunk and I was falling all over the place. I was embarrassed but dealt with it. When I am in the shower, him and my daughter come in. I don't care. DH doesn't mind whenI walk in when he is in the shower either.

No I don't want him in there when I'm going, and the shower is my relax time. I don't lock the door but he does. If the door is closed we know someone's in there.

i dont even shut the door DH has to yell at me to close it... i'll keep up the conversation and he'll be like WAIT UNTIL YOURE DONE!
he doesnt lock the door on me but he gets mad if I try to come in there to get something
