Anybody else got some weird neighbors?

tell me your stories if ya do


I have this one neighbor who lives awfully close (the houses in this neighborhood are not separated too well - another reason we refuse to do anything but RENT here). He gets home from work everyday at 4:00 or so and he just sits in his car for almost a half hour blasting his crazy old person music and singing along with it. Sooo funny. at first I thought that he just wanted to finish listening to a particular song (and that's normal - we've all done this). But then it was happening everyday and i began to wonder if there's a specific reason why he does not want to go inside after work. lol.
What's even weirder is that he'll do this even while me & DH are outside. Like the other day we were on the driveway and DH was changing the oil in my car. Suddenly our neighbor pulls up and does it again - blasts his music and sings along with it. It made DH sooooo awkward. hahahaha! What do you? You're standing like 3 feet from the guy and he's singing all crazy in his car. Do you look? Do you pretend that you can't hear it? So funny! (if it were ME, I would cease to sing with the neighbors standing right there within seeing & hearing distance. lol). But whatever! If it makes him happy - then i guess so be it

i have some neighbors a few doors down and across the street, they never use their front door, they have like this seriously steep front staircase with no railing
Its at least 12 feet high
They always use their garage to go in and out of the house

We call them the people under the stairs

our neighbors do back yard wrestling... like im talking ppl dress up, they have shows and ppl come and watch... they have a ring and music and a microphone & speaker lol

ohhhh....where do i start....

across us to the left is a crazy and kinda creepy but very nice guy....he likes to go through peoples garbage after a spring clean and take broken furniture and stuff like that..


next to him is the rent the room house where they have about 8 families there, people move in and out in the middle of the night and the taxis come by non stop laying on the horn at all hours day or night


next to that is the family with an apt in the basement...family is nice except kids ride their bikes with no helmets
but tenants are smokers so they rock out in the car too for like an hour or so while they smoke up the car, she is not doing well uses a walker, so probably should not be smoking


thank goodness we should be moving this summer

Oh man our neighbors next door are in their 30's. DH and I think they must be 'trust fund kids' b/c they don't work and all they do is smoke pot. OH and their friends are always puking all over the back yard. (we live in a condo). Last week we woke up on Saturday morning and their beer pong table was infront of our patio door, their back sliding door, which they obviously busted through, was also right outside my door. Go back to your frat house boys.....seriously

We have neighbors behnd us who have a blow up projection screet tv and they blast boxing at like midnight. you can hear the boxing bells ringing all they way on merrick rd 5 blocks away. The after tjhe fight is over they are loud until I call the cops Hey, people gotta sleep.

We have a lady we call 'bittch lady'. We used to rent a house accross the street from where we own now and for years we would wave to bittch lady, my dad would say hi to her in the supermarket and she would ignore him. Now we OWN a house and she talks to us. Well we wish she didnt b/c she is always bittching about someone to my dad. I always hear yelling and look outside and its just her talling him a story.

Oh, and we had the guy who was in newdsay for scamming people out of their homes w/ these morgages taken w/ false documents for way more than they are worth. But he moved and is in jail now, not for the mortgage charges hes up on, but for assault

And when I would see the guy I would say hi and when i would see the girl and say hi she would look at me awkwardly and say like a fake hi. DH told me the opposite happens with him. The girl says hi nicely and the guy seems stand-offish with him. Well I stopped saying hi because there were times where the girl would look straight at me walking down the street, I would say hi and NOTHING. Like I did something to her. And the last straw was at our gym when I walked RIGHT IN FRONT of her face said a nice big-smiled HI and I got nothing. Just a stare in my face. Im done. I think its so rude and I hate when I go out of my way to be nice and people act like that. Its so weird. I almost feel like someone must have said something about us to them. And sometimes I think she doesnt like me because I feed the neighborhood cats and she asked me not to because one scratched their dog. I said sure but I never stopped because Ive been living there 5 years why do I have to stop? Whatever. Its aggravating but I just do the same now.

I have nice neighbors from what I know...we have only been in our coop for 3months and its a garden apartment not a building so we dont really know people yet being that its winter and all...the one lady right below us is sweet. Nothing exciting to report

our neighbors are freaks. I was outside walking my dog and I hear the extremely crazy one saying weird things out the window and I thought she was just talking to the dog. Then I hear her saying 'oh she must think I'm crazy' and I'm like who the hell is she talking to? Then she tells me about her friend the squirrel who visits her every afternoon and she talks to him, he was in the tree.

She also stands on the street and watches people park to make sure that we're not leaving ourselves too much room so that we can make more spots on the street. She has a really old mazda and it makes the beeping sound when it backs up. I think she should have a mandatory straight jacket.

I FEEL IT seeping through her eyes!! Oh i forgot to mention, in the mornings there are these gypsy cabs that people share when the bus is taking long. Each person pays 2.00. Dh got in one with the neighbors looked at them and they said nothing. And they all rode to the train in SILENCE. They didnt say a word to him. He tried but when he saw how stand-offish they were he was like forget them. SO WEIRD!

when I used to live at home with my parents, i also had a bittchy neighbor! You're not alone! lol. When we were kids, me & my sisters went to a Private Elementary & High School (so we took a different bus than her children each day). Well, when it was too cold to wait outside, we'd stay in and watch out the window for the bus. Our driver used to give us a one short little beep everytime he pulled up to our house (just in case). She actually CALLED OUR BUS COMPANY to complain about it Freak of nature!

And then - her youngest daughter and my little sister became friends, but she would never let her come over to our house to play. She didn't want them being friends because she did not appreciate how our yard looked. That's right - OUR YARD! There was NEVER any trash on it or anything, in fact it was kept pretty good, but we were the type who didn't mow the lawn or trim the hedges until it was necessary. I guess she didn't like that. (we found out because her daughter told my sister about it - you can't tell children things and expect them not to repeat it. lol). Horrible, horrible woman. We could always hear her SCREAMING BLOODY HELL to her kids and the baby that she sat for. Yuck. I'm glad I'm away from THAT b!tch now - but there's always more! It seems that nasty people are just EVERYWHERE! lol

yeah im not gonna lie - it is pretty entertaining!! the only thing that suucks about it is that we live on a dead end so when they have shows, our block is FILLLEDDD with cars

yes! we have a couple of winners! we are in a coop community so we're all on top of each other which makes it worse- every one of our neighbors has been named & thats how we refer to them!

Crazy bird lady- feeds the birds in the back parking lot & they poop all over everyone's car. Everyone thinks its annoying but she's too much of a looney toon to say anything to- like she'd probably kill you after

we have the bangers- those are our downstairs neighbors- very nice but they throw things at the wall on a regular basis

& then there is S at an's family- the kids are the most rotten nastiest kids ever- like they throw things out the windows at the old people in our development and the whole house is always SCREAMING and their windows are always open

HAHA! they already have one lol... im telling you, its hard core!

sadly, they informed us a couple months ago that they are not doing it this summer at their house... they moved it to another person's backyard lol

The only weird one we have on our block is this jerkoff that lives across the street. He is constantly blaring his music at all hours of the day. He'll start his car, turn up the music and go back inside his house!

OMG! It has to be the same guy that sits in front of our house. Except he doesnt even live on our block. I called the cops on him and he got a ticket. He hasnt really done it since.

OMG! we live on the 1st floor of a 2 family house and the house is semi-attached. Our bedroom is on the attached side and all we hear is this old man always yelling on top of his lungs and blasting his A.M. Radio at 7am every morning even on weekends...I seriously don't know what the walls are made of...cardboard maybe?

I cannot wait to get a house!
