I guess there is no way to preserve the sweetness of that time. If only in our memories. I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it; where we counted down each other’s dates, and prayed together for no rain, where posts didn’t go on for twelve pages, and private jokes were impossible. Where forum mail was for questions about cold feet and slightly bad reviews on vendors, and you knew you had it when you logged on. There were only a few smileys and they said it all, and posting pictures was for bouquets and invites only. (remember Shamma’s arrival? Post pics of bouquets, bm dresses, wedding bands, - Shamma you are the best!) A time when newlyweds knew just that little bit more and they were the wives, the ones who made it through, the ones with the info we’d all do anything to have.

I consider myself fortunate. It was a good time. Not that now is bad…just different I guess. I have such a hard time keeping up sometimes and hearken back to those days where it was a little haven to come to. My newlywed board is like that now. And my story board of course. Thanks to the ladies who held on – and as I knew your wedding dates I hope to know your baby due dates, your job interview dates, your anniversaries and your birthdays. It’s my little personal vow!

Jenny I remember the days, I could tell everyone that was using Imagine or every CB bride, I knew everyone's wedding date....*awww remembers the good ole days* *slaps herself back to reality* I love the NW board, at least I see the familiar faces that I planned with, the few that are still here. I guess change was inevitable.

One thing I remember well was my first post, and freaking out when I got responses that shattered my hopes of ever finding anything in my price range!! But some fine ladies calmed me down with some great advice, and now I'm an old married lady...

I also remember being 'afraid' of coming to Newlywed side for advice on planning. Maybe it was the 'Newlyweds Only' title that made me feel banned until my wedding date...I never posted there, unless by mistake...kinda funny now that I look back on it! Now I'm not even sure who is a newlywed or a bride to be...doesn't matter, as long as you're a good person...

Things are very, very different now. I just started posting again after taking about 3 months off, and just 'lurking'...funny when you stand back and watch, it made me see things and read things very differently...sorry, got lost in a babble.

It's funny, I thought the same thing about posting on the Newlywed board when I was a BHB and I think the one time I did I wrote 'I know I shouldn't be here but...'

You guys are very lucky to have found this site when it was like that. I came on so late in my planning that I kicked myself just about every day! When I joined, it was a much calmer place, though.

LOL ... I was the same way about the newlywed board!! I didn't even lurk on this board! I didn't want to intrude where I didn't belong yet! I hardly go on BHB these days. I guess that's just how it goes.

Is there still a BHB board, I have lost all enthusiam for it
