We had more than one guest stiff us at the wedding...not even an empty 'Congratulations on your Marriage 'card.I dont mind not getting a gift b/c my gift was my DH and having all of our friends and family celebrating with us, but one of the 'stiffers' had the nerve to be all over DH at the reception!
Anyone else get 'stiffed' or have a nutty guest experience?

One of DH's high school friends RSVPd yes with a guest. He never showed up, never sent a gift, and never even called to apologize.

We were stiffed by 4 people. One of them includes FH's parents who didn't contribute a dime for the wedding. Their excuse... the Christmas gift they gave FH was our wedding gift!' Oh really, then why didn't they include MY name on the Christmas card and why didn't the check inside the card say 'do not cash until April 20,2007'!

and a few others. After the wedding day, we had 20% of the wedding that didn't give us gifts. A few have rolled in since...

YES... my brother (groomsman) and DH's brother (best man) did NOT give a gift or even a card!!! i couldn't believe it. i know they don't have tons of money, so any amount would have been fine---, but not even a CARD on your sibling's wedding day???? i was upset to say the least.
Maybe they thought being in your wedding was their gift to you. DH brother may have given him a gift or there is some unspoken terms with them, best bet dont bring it up to DH's brother thats a territory you dont want to cross.
