I do - I started when I was young and in love and I would leave him cute notes everyday! I still like to surprise him now and again. He works upstate and there's not much around forhim to eat. It's much easier for me in NYC to just grab something...

I make mine every day, and I always offer to make his. He either forgets it in the fridge (which annoys me) or won't take one b/c of lunch meetings w/ clients.

After I move in, I plan to put something together for DH before he goes to work, even if it's a tupperware with leftovers or something.

He eats two meals at work, lunch and dinner. He works in Manhattan and it gets VERY expensive! He's looking forward to grabbing something from home instead of spending all the $$ every day.

I'm sure sometimes I will make it for him, other times he's going to get it himself. I don't want to fall into a pattern where he EXPECTS it every day. I'm his wife, not his Mother.

if we have leftovers, whoever is cleaning up the kitchen will pack it up for lunch for us.

I make it for both of us Monday-Thursday. Friday we both buy our lunch.

I usually make his lunch three to four times a week for him..but not now b/c we are in the process of renovating the kitchen so we have no kitchen right now!

You ladies are so domestic.....in the winter I bring my lunch a few times a week. Sometimes he brings his but we make our own. I'm in manhattan- he's in jersey city - too much choice in the summer months....so we eat lunch out....though its too much $$.

My DH would never bring lunch (he claims he doesn't eat lunch)..... So, NO I don't make it for him ever.

I make mine every morning - more so for a way to save on some money.

We try and bring our lunch at least 3 times a week because otherwise it can get rather expensive.

It started out as a joke -- but yes I make my DH and myself lunch every morning. Occassionally if I'm running late he'll make his own.

He has never asked me to do it but I just started and have kept it up. He takes the dog for a walk so I make lunches. Fair compromise.

He used to buy lunch every day too. This is cheaper and healthier.

I make it in the morning too, with mine, when I have school. Now Im only working half, I dont need to make mine, but still make his lunch.
I have to make it that morning, because I hate having a sandwich that has been in the fridge all night

Yup, every night. I try to put in little surprises too (a piece of chocolate or some other treat, and sometimes little notes). I've been doing it for 2 years since we started living together, and he really appreciates it.

P.S. No, I don't feel like his mother. He does plenty of things, like the laundry and the dishes, so this is just one of the things I take care of.

When we were engaged and I was at his house, I used to make him lunch the night before with a small note and I always had the wedding day countdown on the top (how corny, huh ). Once we were married, I would make it every night with a note and a countdown of how many days we were married. Until one day I forgot and then he started making it and hasn't let me do it since -- he says I don't make sandwiches the 'right' way! Translation, not the way he likes them!!!

So he's on his own now!!!

he makes my sandwich every night for work the next day.

i looove it! its so thoughtful & sweet- and he leaves me little notes or treats.

i would gladly do it for him as well, but i'm usually in charge or dinner, so lunch is his thing.

For those of you who make lunch (yours or DH's), what do you make? I want to make DH lunch 3-4 times a week to save money, now that I'm not working, but I think he gets bored of sandwiches. Any ideas? He doesn't work in an office, so doesn't have a fridge or microwave.
