anyone else making a massive sunday dinner tonight?
ok, it's IN THE OVEN!!! The giant veggie/meat lasagne for 50 (although it's only the 2 of us ) is IN THE OVEN
I've been making this darn thing since about 1pm... It has fresh pasta (from fairway), my homemade sauce (from the freezer), roasted tomatoes and eggplant with garlic, mushrooms, spinach, and seasoned ground meat.... and of course the cheeses.
a couple hours in the oven, and we'll have lunch and dinner for DAYS
are you making something special today?

Re: anyone else making a massive sunday dinner tonight?
yep, just replied... took a while to get that all written down.....
DH has told me I have to write a cook book. I've been a bit lazy about it, but it is progressing. I'm up to roughly 45 recipes...... the bacon / chicken recipe is on that list...
the chicken tender recipe I think was parisitized from cooks illustrated, originally... I believe I changed a few tiny things, but over all, it's not mine

oh, that @#$%#$.... my personal nightmare is either my stove/oven, or my dishwasher breaking....
I REALLY fear life w/o a dishwasher... I think DH and I would DROWN in dishes pretty quickly... We do a full load everyday

Can I come over?
I feel slightly inadequate....i'm making spinach/cheese stuffed shells.....they're cool, but that lasagna sounds just
I'm even more jealous of your dinners this week....there is something about lasagna that gets even more delightful with the leftovers!!!!! I guess b/c they sit there and the flavors marinate?
I LOVE LASAGNA

Nope not tonight. We're just grabbing pizza tonight. DH is going out with the guys to the bar to watch the Giants game later. I'm off to my best friend's house to have a few drinks and watch some non-sports shows and chill out

I told DH I'd make it simple....chicken marsala (recipe from the wine bottle! ) and pasta.
We ate it - came out pretty good. But once DH went to clean the dishes he said 'You said you were gonna make it simple.' I guess simple means one pot!
