Marriage is hard work!!!!!!!!!I Everyone always says it (lol)...but you really learn after you get married..we fight a lot sometimes and there are so many compromises you make as a couple. No wonder so many marriages end in divorce..its sad..because you really need to work at it

oh plenty of work, plenty of compromises and plenty of rolling eyes and going out shopping or for some drinks with the friends but when those ick times are not there its great. I realize not every week is going to be perfect and even not every day just take each day as a new and try very hard never to go to bed angry.

Everyone told me that it was hard work to keep a marriage going - I believed them but never in a million years would have guessed how hard it can be.

It is not easy merging two adult lifestyles. DH and I are in our 30's and had set lifestyles before we met. Sometimes you just can not reach a compromise and have to agree to disagree - it is a lesson in learning how to pick your battles and learning when to let things go.

I'm hoping it gets a bit easier as we adjust more.

I completely agree! Today makes three months for us & I guess the honeymoon is over lol- things were perfect for the first 2 1/2 months- now things are slowly becoming more difficult & it is work and it is stressful sometimes!

I agree - Marriage is a lot of hard work. DH is an only child that has been living w/o family for almost 10 years, and I've been living w/ family up until the point I got married - so we have very different ways of thinking. Marriage is definitely an adjustment - hopefully it'll get easier

Yes it is!!! And I think that so many people enter into marriage not prepared to work really hard and that is why so many marriages end in divorce. You can't run at every/any sign of disappointment or failure.
